Fishguard is a place that acts as a magnet for creative people. Its quite remote, but it seems that creatives are lured here. Durban, South Africa, had it's fair share of magnificent artists, but, it was massive compared to Fishguard. With a population of 3,421, it seems that at least half of those play an instrument, create paintings, sculptors, stone masons, crafters and poets, not to mention culinary maestros. It's an honor to live in a place where you rub shoulders with such talented people every day.

Unveiled today, the 15th in a series of purple plaques to celebrate the women of Wales. Our own Jemima Nicholas, the heroine of the failed Last Invasion of mainland Britain in 1797. This plaque is on Fishguard Town Hall, where the last invasion tapestry is in its special gallery.
