Beautiful Kielder Water, and the forest that surrounds it, is just over half an hour's drive away from our cabin in Otterburn.

It offers great biking and walking, and an observatory giving you some of the best stargazing in the UK (book ahead).

You can cycle all the way to Liverpool on the canal path from Leeds (not going to lie, we never have!) or take a short ride or walk into the city and back.
