My uncle Martin was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer early this year. This diagnosis was given after a mis-diagnosis of asthma and a chest x-ray which showed a tumour but was never followed up by the doctor.
I’m going to be doing a sponsored 10 mile run on the 9th of November to try and help raise some money for him. The Go Fund Me link is in my bio
After months of treatment with no government support (because apparently you should be fine to work with stage 3 lung cancer whilst undergoing chemotherapy) he has now been given the very devastating news that his cancer has progressed and it is now stage 4 with a life expectancy of only a year.
We are trying to raise some funds in the hopes that we can find a clinical trial somewhere in the world that he can take part in to hopefully give him some extra time. Also to help him and his family cover the cost of living while he hopefully undergoes this trial treatment.
For those of you who know my uncle will know that he is a good person who has always been willing to help anyone and everyone. He’s not the kind of person to ask for help as he’s always the one helping others, but now more than ever he really needs some of this kindness and support returned.
