Welcome to Sandy Shore - our luxury Air bnb guest suite that forms part of our Art Deco family home.

We moved to Broadstairs in 2017 together with our two boys and Welsh Terrier in search of fresh air and adventure.

Free wheeling!
We've just acquired two gorgeous classic bikes, which are now available for our guests to use throughout their stay, free of charge! (subject to conditions). So if you fancy cruising along the coastal paths to Ramsgate, or Margate (just a couple of miles along the coast in each direction), or if you just want to hop on with a picnic and explore some of the many local beaches nearby, then be our guests!

We have come a very long way since we first started on the garden at Sandy Shore. We inherited a plot of slate chippings and not a lot else, a far cry from the tropical haven it is now. Looking back at our progress, it seems inconceivable that I could persuade my kids to help with the digging and be coerced into endless trips to garden centres. 4 years on and we have some amazing established perennials which means we can plant different seeds every year to add lots of colour in between. Every year, people rave at the space, it is a very private walled garden that feels like you could be anywhere from Miami to Broadstairs. The reflections from the whiteness of the house and walls create a real sun trap so it’s perfect for a spot of al fresco dining, drinks on the terrace or a spot of sunbathing.

Most if not all of our visitors at Sandy Shore leave fabulous comments in our visitors book but some of my favourites are written by the kids. This one was particularly flattering:
“Your house reminds me of the house in Encanto. I loved staying in it, thank you for letting us. We really enjoyed it. The kitchen makes me think of a jungle. The beds are very comfortable. My sister wants to be an interior designer and your house inspired her! I think my parents might redesign our house when we get home!”.
