So the time has come to leave London and head up towards Cambridge. I’m spending Christmas with my brother and his family and I cannot wait!! I’m cycling up there and it will be quite a wet ride me thinks 😂🤣 but hey, I’m well versed in these matters. My tracker will be on for those that have the link. Ha, can’t wait to get going! Need to get my waterproof trousers and cycling shoes from a house in Fulham firstly and then up to Cambridge we go!

Meet Hagrid’s sister 😂 wow, that’s some mane! Whilst cycling the coast of GB recently and wearing a helmet, I’ve always put my hair up as otherwise with the wind, it might all get caught up in my wheels, well… it feels it might one day 😆 So thought it best to go to the hairdressers. They soon noticed where I had cut away! During my journey of going around the coast, my rather curly hair would get into a knot festival. It was excruciating to comb them out so in the end got some scissors and hacked the knots off. Such a relief when I did. No one noticed, except for the hairdresser! The use of logs as footrests is novel and I love it 😍 Bring nature indoors 🙌🏻 🎄

Trying to rock it in Margate (when there earlier) and failing miserably 🤣 🙄 I am now back in , having completed my cycle along the coast of in 7 months and 3 days. Video and photos coming soon! Many thanks for all the support throughout my journey along the coast! Forever grateful 🙏🏻 Next challenge: writing the book. I’ve already got a title. On to the next adventure 🙌🏻💪🏻. ❤️

At the start of today, I got a wee bit of a shock as I left the hotel due to the cold. The best way to conquer this, is not to hang around but get going and cycle as fast as possible. I am still not wearing too much gear as due to my MS, my body temp is usually a hot furnace. I prefer cold climes as opposed to hot ones, therefore. Loved seeing Rochester castle and cathedral ( it’s the second oldest cathedral) almost standing side by side!
Today was low in mileage still and I guess I’m eeking it out so as to still cycle on Gertie! Although I am now very ready to see family and friends at the finish line and onto new chapters and adventures which is all very exciting! 🙌🏻. I’m getting some great messages and I apologise if I haven’t answered your yet, if you’ve sent one. Promise I will find time to answer them over the next few days. Thank you for showing tremendous support for my expedition. I’m nearly back at my starting point. Tomorrow I’m heading to an area around Waterloo station. I will be staying with my brother’s friends. On Saturday I will then make my final bit of my journey to Chiswick. I will be stopping just outside the Urban Pantry on Devonshire Road at 12pm. Not sure what’s happening at the finish line, I’m just going to turn up 😂 but one thing would be great to have is a beer. If you have nothing better to do at this hour, pop along. I’ve heard from a few people who have MS and want to join in, please do! Thank you for the support shown so far. It’s made an incredible difference!

So here is Cape Wrath. I decided to go with the minibus tour in the end, rather than cycling as I would not have been back in time for the ‘wee’ ferry. The road was pretty atrocious so I think I made the right decision. If I had a mountain bike then I would have given it a go! It was an incredible experience! This is the most northerly western point of It is wild and beautiful and very windy!

Nature unfolding...

Living in Chiswick, I feel so lucky! This was taken by me around 5am, on Saturday morning. It’s a little fuzzy and I’m not sure why, but think FB changes it. There will be many videos on their platform, I guess! Not sure what I’m doing wrong... anyone know? Would love to know! In the meantime though, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by everything going on (would be very surprised if you weren’t at times) breathe deeply and watch this. Nature at its best!

This is Svalbard in September 2018, in the #Arctic This #trip exceeded my expectation way beyond anything I could possibly ever imagine. I felt so alive here. It was cold but with the right gear, it’s warm 😉 There are only certain times of the year that you can do this particular sail!
