Dog Friendly Holiday Retreat

Nestling in beautiful Devon countryside, this spacious detached 18th century cottage offers the perfect get-away from it all but the historic market town of Great Torrington is within 3 miles for shops and supplies. Ideal for ramblers and cyclists with easy access to the Tarka Trail providing miles of footpaths and cycle ways and forming part of the Devon Coast to Coast Cycle Route. The scenic North Devon coastline is a 20 minute drive, with the stunning Northam Burrows and its vast expanse of sand as our local dog beach. This pet friendly cottage is surrounded by its own fully secure and secluded gardens and has been recently refurbished to provide a beautifully cosy retreat. Heaps of original character the cottage offers a large beamed living room with rugs on stone floor and comfy sofas with throws surrounding a large inglenook fireplace with woodburner, tv with full Sky package and Wifi. A beamed dining room leads off to one side and a large kitchen/breakfast room to the other with garden access. Steep stairs lead up to the first floor with four bedrooms each offering country views and a family bathroom. An additional ground floor shower room and toilet adds to the facilities. Enclosed gardens, an adjoining half acre paddock and a ground floor utility area ideal makes this cottage particularly good for bringing the four legged members of your family. The garage annex has been converted to house a games room and offers table football, darts and board games and garden games are also stored in there. Those wishing to take advantage of the great cycle tracks and some of the best surfing beaches in Devon will appreciate the secure storage for cycles and surf board, and boogie boards are also stored in the under stairs cupboard. Everything has been provided for your comfort in this wonderful rural retreat suitable for all year round relaxation and activities.

Accommodation: Ground floor: Front entrance hall. Lounge with woodburner, Satellite TV, DVD player and seating for at least six people. Dining room with table and chairs. Kitchen/breakfast room with oil-fired Rayburn(for heating, hot water and slow cooking), electric hob and oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and washing machine, breakfast table and chairs. Tumble dryer available in garage. Shower room with WC and basin. First Floor: Bedroom 1 with kingsize. Bedroom 2 with double. Bedroom 3 with twin. Bedroom 4 with Single. Bathroom with bath and shower attachment, WC and basin. Facilities and Services: Linen and Towels. Oil fired central heating. First basket of logs provided. No smoking. WiFi broadband. Dogs welcome but restricted to downstairs and there is an additional charge. Games room with table football, darts, board games, sofa and fridge. Garden furniture and games. Garage with tumble dryer and secure storage for surf boards and cycles. Driveway parking for 3 cars. Arr/Dep for weekly bookings is Saturday, timings as per booking form.
