Menorca is the easternmost point in Spain, making it the first place in Spain to see the in sun each morning. Our roof terrace is the perfect spot to watch the sun rise over the hills beyond the pool looking out towards Mahon.
Then later why not enjoy a locally made Xoriguer gin back on the roof watching the sun set behind Monte Toro; the highest point on the island and considered to be one of the most important spiritual places in Menorca.
We still have some availability in May, so please get in touch if you are considering a last minute break away.

The Cami de Cavalls (“path of the horse riders”) is a 185km walking trail that makes a complete circuit of gorgeous Menorca. This coastal path has been established for centuries and was used by horse riding guards to defend the island from a sea attack. It is broken into 20 sections between 5 and 14 km in length and can be walked between 6 and 10 days. Here are a few pictures taken over the past few weeks from the first 5 sections . Many people have had their precious holidays put on hold or simply cancelled this year, but our lovely island is gradually opening up again to receive holidaymakers. Here are a couple of our gorgeous local beaches (Sa Mesquida and Es Grau) that are close to Casa Pia by car. I am now beginning to receive enquiries for next year, so please contact me if you would like to visit the villa.

One of the lovely bats that you may see around the villa at dusk during the warmer months. This little one was living in an old parasol at the time. On advice from an expert we have provided a proper bat box for any visitors.

What could be better than waking up to the sound of sheep on the hill opposite, then watching four booted eagles soaring low over the villa in search of their breakfast. During the daytime relaxing by the pool being dive bombed by the swallows swooping inches above the pool, while the swifts dip and dive higher in the sky . Later, dodging the many rabbits outside our driveway on the way to and from wonderful tapas at one of the restaurants in Mahon harbour.
