Summer often means hotel (& accommodation in general) prices skyrocket, especially in tourist areas.

So what can you do to avoid it? 👇

Look for accommodation that isn't ideal for a tourist, in ways that don't affect you.

For example, a hotel not in a good area for the local attractions might have better prices.

If you regularly have to cancel or alter your hotel bookings, then it may be more cost-effective to book with refundable rates.

You might be losing more in cancellations than you would in the extra cost of refundable / flexible rates.

If you often leave booking until the last minute because you aren't sure about dates, then you might also save money by booking early on refundable rates.

It's worth doing some calculations based on your estimated bookings.

At least yearly, in April, due to the rise in minimum wage causing prices to increase.

You should also do regular checks to make sure it's being followed, and update it if there's a clear reason your team are ignoring it.

Regular surveys to check your team agree it meets their needs, and the corresponding changes are also a good idea.

You could do these checks at the same time, but doing them in Sept/Oct means that it has a better chance of being up to date.

From the process of booking, working with your employees to ensure it is streamlined and easy to cost control and keeping under your budget. We will even create a Travel Policy for you!

With our in-house software development team, crucial feedback from our existing customers and employees we have been able to create an online platform with your industry in mind. Centralising your bookings, custom reporting, live invoices and much, much more. If there’s something else you need, no problem, let us know. We understand that every company works differently, and it is important for us to build that relationship with you to identify solutions, not only with your bookings but your back-office processes too! Therefore, saving your company valuable time (Time=Money).

We have access to thousands of discounted rates, however, our focus is to find the right accommodation for your travellers, and we won’t just rely on our rates, we will call suppliers direct and using our buying power, negotiate the best rate and cancellation suitable to your enquiry. Whether it’s a team of four with a large van, staying Monday-Friday in self-catering accommodation or a one-night stay in a hotel close to the site, we have you covered.
