Hi everyone! I know I don't update our social media pages often as I don't like to blow my own trumpet really though I should at least tell people I have a trumpet :-) I'm not great at this side of things but I am great at history, writing books and creating and giving great tours.
This year I'm going to try and post a lot more regularly, highlighting some of our tours in London and across the U.K. and maybe some of the sights and hidden places I see every day.
Once again London has been voted the best city in the world to travel to by Trip Advisor. Ye Olde England Touts has around 70 walking tours in London alone and we're the highest rated purely private tours group. Many of our tours are or have been rated the #1 thing to do in London in their sections, some the best things to do in London full stop... or period to our American friends. 99% of them were unique when I created them and most still don't even have any lame imitations.
We're small, we're not particularly in it for the money but what we are in it for is to treat all our guests like family and friends and giving them some of the best days of their lives (something I'm told dozens of times every year) an showing people parts of London and the U.K. things they've never seen even if they've worked in London for 40 years.
We were the first to do tours in this modern way, I actually got thrown off Viator/Trip Advisor 12 years ago as all the big corporations hated the idea of private tours being done properly rather than bus loads of people treated like sheep before everyone realised my way was the best way.
Sadly there may be hundreds of tour operators but most of them just do the same old tours, reciting scripts but not knowing anything else. Our guests are everyone from student backpackers right up to Presidents, Special Forces, celebrities and famous TV shows. 99% though are regular folk from around the world, they get to see famous and regular places by a small team of very regular but amazing guides.
