We love it when families with young children come to stay and they play in our shared garden and on the trampoline - Mia's children also made some amazing lego models and loved the other toys we left out for them.

The gorgeous Shaldon is about 10 mins drive from Garden Cottage.

It really is as lovely as they say it is!

Why not come and visit in June when it’s nice and quiet but the weather is great and see for yourself what all the fuss is about!

Nestled along the breathtaking shores of the Devon coastline is a village that could really could be part of a fairytale 😍

We really care about our guests and making sure that they are having a great stay which is why these reviews mean so much to us.

We've been closed for over a year because of building work and it's brilliant to be filling up with guests again. We've got families and couples, siblings and solo travellers booked in.

Our current guest is a Grandma visiting her new grandbaby nearby. We really do welcome all types of guests.

Maidencombe is one of our favourite beaches for swimming with the kids - the sand goes out so gradually so it’s lovely and shallow for playing in.

They also have a brilliant kayak and paddle board hire hub and a gorgeous little cafe with some of the best views in Devon. Our favourite is to grab a full fry up and eat it on the beach!

We have just a few days left in June, July, Aug and early Sept.

What would possibly beat a bacon sarnie followed by a dip?!

We’re just coming to the end of a second glorious week of non-stop sunshine at Garden Cottage.

We’ve been working in our garden (I’m on a mission to create a Victorian vegetable garden - Dick and Angel, eat your heart out!).

We’ve also been up to Bellever twice this week - it’s the most perfect place on Dartmoor to take children of all ages.

We still have some availability in June - the weather is glorious and everywhere is quiet - 4 nights left in July and 2 weeks left in the middle of August.

One of our neighbours was flying home from Spain when he snapped this amazing photo of where we live.

Garden Cottage is in the yellow dot - right on the edge of the countryside.

You can see how close we are to the sea and the lovely seaside town of Teignmouth.

We are filling up for the summer after being closed for 2 years so grab your spot and come and see the village where blue meets green for yourself!

On Tuesday, 30th May, we are excited to announce we are holding our first Alpaca Experience with Lakemoor Alpacas.

If you love Alpacas your not going to want to miss this opportunity.

When we moved to Devon from London, our eldest was 11 and had just started to hit the ‘teenage era’ (if you know, you KNOW!).

Moving here meant that she dropped all that city bravado and became young again.

She started playing and building sandcastles!

This is her on Dartmoor a couple of months after we moved.

We see the same thing happen to the kids that stay in Garden Cottage. A combination of the fresh air, the sea and the endless outdoor play really brings out the best in them - plus - they sleep REALLY WELL!

Have you ever been to Dartmoor? It’s the most stunning and exciting place ever (in my humble opinion).

Whenever we visit, we all have a wonderful time - for me, it’s almost spiritual - I find it so calming, for my husband, he loves the fresh air and views, my teenagers love the huge amount of scenery for creating their TikToks (!) and the younger boys love climbing the rocks and spotting the ponies.

It’s just 30 minutes from Garden Cottage and a brilliant (and free) day out!

YAY - our lovely holiday let in gorgeous Devon is now BACK OPEN after an 18 month break whilst we smashed our actual house to pieces and rebuilt it.

Because we only opened this week, we've got loads of availability including the May half term. We normally sell out about a year in advance!

This is our closest beach - the wonderful Teignmouth - it’s just 10 mins drive away from Garden Cottage.

We have only a few nights free between the end of August and when we close in Sept for 6 months.

Best of both worlds - holiday let in wonderfully friendly countryside village near the sea in South Devon.

We are offering a lovely 2 bedroom holiday let just 10 minutes drive from the beach, in the countryside. You can hear seagulls, owls and sheep from our half acre back garden - and if you lie quietly on our huge 15ft trampoline at dusk, you can get dive bombed by bats.

The cottage officially sleeps 5 (king sized bed and a triple bunk bed - double on bottom, single on top) but we have camp beds and travel cots if you want to squeeze in another child. We are super family friendly and have stair gates, high chairs, toys, games, baby monitor, toddler crockery, a bottle warmer, baby bouncer, food processor and more.

Just a 10 minute drive away are a selection of lovely family friendly beaches with water sports, sandcastle making and lovely cafes and fish and chip shops.

We are just 30 mins from stunning Dartmoor and Exeter and day trips to local farms, theme parks and even the Eden Project are easy.

We have availability in April, May and June - as well as one week of the school summer holidays (Devon is gorgeous in spring - don't wait until it fills up with all the tourists!)

Garden Cottage is a 2 bed, extremely family friendly cottage in a sought after, family friendly village in the countryside and near the sea. We can hear cows and seagulls in our half acre garden (stuffed full of play equipment for you to use) and we have regular visits from owls and bats (if you lie on the trampoline at dusk, you might even get dive bombed!).

The bedrooms have a super comfy, king-sized bed in one and a triple bunk in the other (double on the bottom and single on top). We also have 2 travel cots, 2 highchairs and a LOAD of toys and games to keep kids happy. There is a steriliser, changing mat, food processor and toddler cutlery and crockery.

The bathroom and kitchen are completely refurbished with everything you need (the shower is HUGE).

I'm sorry, but we are not currently accepting dogs. Please message me though and we can have a chat about your furry friend.
