It is our aim to take you to some of the most beautiful and wildlife rich places around the world. Our company was born from a love of the natural world and a desire to not only enjoy it but to respect and conserve it. Therefore, we want to do much more than merely visit, we want to invest in the conservation of the habitats and the species that make them special, hence our motto "observe to conse

rve". We are proud to promise that from every trip we organise some of the profits will be donated to a conservation charity. Wherever possible the money will go towards supporting local projects in the places that we visit. Otherwise we will donate to a relevant wildlife charity.

We will be in Swallow Marquee on stand S3 so do come and say hello. And if you’re looking for travel ideas, we will be delighted to assist you with planning and booking a group or private tour.

Smiles all round in South Africa as our annual Butterfly Safari gets off to a great start - over 100 species in 2 days.

This one’s a Green-veined Charaxes (Charaxes candiope).

An update from our ongoing Northern & Central Spain spring butterfly tour by tour leader Pete Eeles...

"I’m really enjoying co-leading this tour with Dr. Simon Spencer and Max Anderson. Lots of specialties are being seen, including Spanish Greenish Black-tip, Spanish Festoon, Iberian Scarce Swallowtail, Iberian Sooty Copper and Panoptes Blue.

An emphasis of the tour is helping guests understand the ecology of the species they're seeing, including the food plants being used. Finding Spring Ringlets laying on Sheep's-fescue has been a particular highlight.

I’ve been hoping for a side-by-side photo of an Orange-tip and Provence Orange-tip (Anthocharis euphenoides) on the northern & central Spain tour, but this will have to do for now - a male on one if its larval food plants - a species of Biscutella!"

As with all our butterfly tours, 10% of profits will be donated to Butterfly Conservation. Plus our records will be submitted to the appropriate organisation in Spain to help with species recording and conservation work.

Do aliens exist? 👽 This stunning Empusa sp. Praying Mantis certainly looks like one! This incredible creature is sometimes referred to as the ‘cone head mantis’ due to the amazing structure of its head!!
