One of our fondest memories is our honeymoon 💗 You can have a hundred holidays, but only 1 honeymoon (maybe 2…or 3 for some 😆 Anyway, you get my point!). So for us, when we have newlyweds to stay, we are extremely honoured that they’ve chosen our Retreat and chuffed to bits when we receive a wonderful note from them like this 😅 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏼‍♂️

Good Evening! I hope you are all keeping well? Having re-opened 3 weeks ago, it’s been wonderful being able to welcome guests to the Retreat again. So far, all of our guests have been brilliant, adhering to Government guidelines, keeping the Retreat spotless, spending money at many of our local small businesses and genuinely being grateful for a break in our beautiful County 💗 What’s certainly different this year (& a huge relief!) is most of our guests have already had their COVID vaccines, which is just simply amazing! We all just need to keep doing what we’re doing 😅🤞🏻☺️

So on to availability!...
May - August FULLY BOOKED (sorry!).
There are a few nights left in September (from 21st onwards) & the rest of the year is pretty much free at the moment.

Good Morning! I hope you are all keeping safe & well! Just thought I’d give you a little update. We reopened 2 & 1/2 weeks ago & its been so lovely welcoming guests to the Retreat again. They’ve had the most perfect weather too 😎

The new cleaning regime is going really well. Guests so far have been great & very happy with everything we are doing 😅

So after 3 months of being closed, we are ready to welcome guests again from tomorrow 🤗

Excited? Yes 😃 Apprehensive? Yes 😬 Head scrambled? A little 🤪 Everything in place? Absolutely ✅

Whilst we are really happy to be re-opening and welcoming guests again. First and foremost is health & safety. We are doing everything we can with enhanced cleaning and hygiene measures, with strict requirements from guests before they even arrive making sure they are allowed to travel, feeling well & have not been in contact with anyone who is showing symptoms of Covid-19 or has/had the virus. During their stay they must continue to follow the Guidelines on social distancing and hand hygiene at all times and should they show any symptoms of Covid-19, they must return home immediately and self-isolate.

Whilst writing this and feeling a mixture of emotions about reopening, I received an email out of the blue from one of our wonderful repeat guests (Pictures attached). Which made me cry 😭 but proper cheered me up. Makes all the hard work and stress worthwhile ☺️

Following the Government announcement today (23/06/20), we are delighted to confirm that our gorgeous Retreat will be re-opening from Saturday 4th July!! We are still waiting for the official guidelines to be released, but rest assured we will be ready, with all the necessary health & safety measures in place! 🧹🧴🧽🧼🧻

As far as availability goes, we do have a few gaps to fill over the next few months. In normal circumstances, these dates would have been taken. So I’m expecting to be busy with bookings over the next few weeks! If you are looking to book, please don’t leave it too long before getting in touch!

What benefits does our Retreat offer that perhaps other holiday accommodations ie.hotels, B&Bs, caravan & camping parks & other self-catering apartments won’t?

✅ Friendly owners on hand should you need us (at a safe distance of course!)
✅ Quiet woodland valley to walk, run or cycle right from your doorstep.
✅ Coastal & woodland trails just a couple of miles away.

✅ No staff to rely on - all changeovers are completed by me to ensure all health & safety procedures are followed at all times.
✅ Key-safe for contactless check-in & outs.
✅ A gap between each stay to ensure enough time to complete the enhanced cleaning procedureS.

Good evening everyone! We hope you are all keeping safe & well? 😊

Our lovely Retreat remains closed, but all being well we will be able to re-open soon. In the meantime, we have been busy getting ready to welcome guests again. Our website has been updated with the steps we will be taking (also detailed below). Please note: These steps (or some of) are subject to change - pending further/revised guidelines from the Government/Cornwall Council.

🏡The future...Our commitment to you🏡
Providing a safe, clean and comfortable property for our guests has always been one of our highest priorities. It’s now more important than ever to re-evaluate our cleaning procedures and take additional measures to reduce the spread of the Covid-19 outbreak. We will be following the Government/Cornwall Council Covid-19 guidelines to ensure the protection of both our guests and our families. Whilst we already had many of these systems and measures in place before the pandemic, we would like to further reassure you by highlighting the following:
🧹Enhanced cleaning routine of all surfaces.
😷 Additional cleaning & sanitising products.
📆 A gap between check-outs and check-ins during the pandemic to provide ample time to properly clean and disinfect all areas.
🔑 Social distancing measures - Self-check-in and checkout using a key-safe.
