-defence, physical restraint, handcuffing and conflict management. At Intelligensa we meet the needs of our clients by providing high quality training, delivered by experienced and qualified instructors. Amongst others, our courses meet the needs of lone workers, Teachers, care homes, NHS employees, Revenue Inspectors and Social Workers, and help employers comply with the Health and Safety obligations to their staff. We can provide bespoke training or see you through to a BTEC level 2 qualification. Andy Maddocks, our Director, has completed 30 years service with the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), leaving as a Detective Inspector. He was the Intelligence Manager and Project Manager for the MPS Olympic Intelligence Unit responsible for identifying strategic criminal threats and developing tactical intelligence to reduce the threat to the safety and security of the London Olympic Games. At Games time his unit operated 24 hours a day, involving the management of 260 staff. His unit directly assisted in making the Games the success that it was. Andy's intelligence role was acknowledged by the Metropolitan Police Service, on receipt of a prestigious commendation. No one else has this unique experience! Our trainers have the following qualifications:
•BTEC level 3 Physical Intervention for the security industry
•BTEC level 3 Advanced physical restraint
•BTEC level 3 Advanced self defence
•BTEC level 3 Handcuffing
•BTEC level 3 Conflict management
•BTEC level 3 Advanced risk assessment and risk management
All physical trainers at Intelligensa are PTLLS trained or equivalent and have specialist qualifications in their individual specialist fields. All training has been approved by the National Federation for Personal Safety (NFPS) Ltd, and Intelligensa are a Licensed Centre within NFPS able to award BTEC qualifications with Pearson Edexcel.
