We are appealing for help finding a man we want to speak to following an assault in Nottingham city centre.

A 25-year-old was left needing hospital treatment after he was hit on the head with a bottle in an unprovoked attack.

The incident happened outside a pub in South Sherwood Street in the early hours of 15 December 2024.

We would like to speak to the man in the CCTV image as we believe he can assist with the investigation.

PC Stefan Vandaele said: “This was a completely unacceptable attack that left a man having to undergo treatment in hospital.

“We have been trawling through all of the CCTV footage available from the night as part of our investigations, to help establish what happened.

“After inspecting the footage in detail, we have identified a man who we believe will be able to assist us with our inquiries.

“If you recognise him or have any more information that could help us with our investigation, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 486 on 15 December 2024.”

We have issued images of two people we’d like to speak to after a robbery in Nottingham.

A 32-year-old man was walking home from a night out when his mobile phone was snatched from him in Goldsmith Street.

The victim chased after the person responsible but was then repeatedly punched by the thief and an accomplice.

The incident happened at around 1.30am on 30 November.

Detective Sergeant Frank Guddemi, who is overseeing the investigation, said:

“This was a nasty robbery that left the victim requiring treatment in hospital.

“Thankfully his injuries were not serious but nevertheless this was a traumatic experience for him and we are determined to trace those responsible.

“Having reviewed CCTV, we believe the two people in this image will be able to assist the investigation and I’d urge them to come forward.

“Likewise, please get in touch if you recognise them.”
