Can you do Sin City with Children?!
Of course!
We’ve been to Vegas a few times but never with children 🫣
Tbh we weren’t sure they would enjoy it but it ended up being everyone’s favourite place across our 3 weeks in the States!
The strip is 4.5 miles jam packed full of hotels, casinos & attractions. While most people go to Vegas for the drinking, gambling & entertainment, there is plenty to do during the day and with kids in hand.
During our stay we experienced an extreme heatwave with temperatures averaging over 45 degrees 🥵 so most days were spent at the pool☀️
Friday through Sunday we stayed at the 4* Treasure Island Hotel which had free parking (important to me😝), a great party atmosphere around the pool (although really strict on sneaking anything in🤣) and easy to navigate around as it’s smaller than some hotels in the strip.
Monday to Wednesday we moved up strip to the impressive 5* Cosmopolitan Resort which I had been impressed with on a previous visit. Ordinarily this hotel would have been out of my price range but moving there midweek saved 💵and booking through my own travel system allowed our friends also to avail of savings and enjoy the some of the best amenities on the strip - the bedrooms were huge and bathrooms out of this world!
Top tip is if you want to stay in the more luxurious hotels then book them midweek as the weekend rates can be triple the price!🥺
We had a change of plan if the last day and decided against staying out near the Grand Canyon, it was just too warm and everyone agreed to another night in Vegas, booking into the famous 5* Caesar’s Palace for only $80 a room, couldn’t bate it!😎
Freemont Street is always worth a visit and shopping at the South Premium Outlets allows you to get a pic at famous Las Vegas sign as it’s on the way.
The hotels in Las Vegas are resorts in themselves, easy to get lost in and cater for every cuisine known to man! We particularly enjoyed In & Out Burger and the viral TikTok trend Raising Canes!🍟🍔
Ocean One in Planet Hollywood’s miracle mile is also great for casual dining feat American classics and to my wife’s delight strong cocktails 3 for $12🍹
The biggest music artists perform every night and you are spoilt for choice with live shows. Cirque du Soleil Michael Jackson One was given the 5 star seal of approval from us.
For any sports fans, the Alligiant Stadium is home to the Las Vegas Raiders and we were lucky to see Brazil v Paraguay compete in Copa America when we were there! The Oakland A’s will also relocate to the soon to be demolished Tropicana site and provide opportunities to see MLB on the strip🏈⚾️
Vegas will always be a top destination for the Mc Veighs and we can’t wait to go back!
