This article is part of the problem, and the reason we don't tour the Isle of Skye anymore. Published on islands.com it is a rehash of already published and problematic Internet content and stock photos with colour-pumping filters applied. It describes as "a captivating hidden gem that many travelers may overlook", then proceeds to list all the usual tourist traps that are sadly overrun with the thousands of Americans and Asians who read one of the many prior incarnations this hype.
Need we mention again the toilet paper lining the path to The Old Man of Stoer?

Almost every human on the planet has heard of Loch Ness. This is the River Ness, about half mile down stream of the loch.

The Bells (midnight on December 31st 2022, hogmanay). Fireworks at the Wallace Monument, Stirling. I think someone dropped the match in the gunpowder.

I'm a little sad today that Scotland is having an unusually fine summer and all our US, Canadian and Australian guests can't enjoy it due to travel restrictions. Here's 4 seconds from our wildflower meadow.

If scenes of Scottish Highland beauty and Celtic music is your thing, then this 10 minute short film is just right. Background: in covid lockdown 2021, we gathered nine local musicians and remotely recorded a piece to celebrate our area of Strathearn and the local arts venue in its heart (closed during lockdown and much missed).
