So when one of the people we support said he wanted to go to the moon, we presented him with sufficient information to decide for himself it wasn’t possible to achieve his ambition. Still determined to continue with his interest in space, we supported him to visit the space hall at Manchester Museum of Science and Industry. The ladies at number 5 decided to have Christmas Day early this year as they are all spending time with Family over the festive period. Everyone enjoyed a Christmas Dinner and exchanging gifts before going to the Adult Christmas Panto. 😉

Amy was supported by Chelsea to travel to Australia to attend a family wedding. Amy had a fantastic time on this once in a lifetime holiday. Amy loved spending time with her friends and Family as well as all the fun and memories she made with Chelsea along the way.

Today’s showcased team member is – Laura Johnson (Service Manager)
Laura joined Affinity as a service manager in December 2021. Laura will be a face known by many in the East Lancashire area, she has supported most services across the Affinity East area.
Laura is a fantastic support to the teams she supports and the people living within her services.
In Laura’s spare time she enjoys taking her dog for walks and spending time with friends.
‘ Last week, Affinity attended the regional Great British Care Awards. Veena was a shortlisted finalist!!
Everyone had a great time and enjoyed a night of celebration and dancing.
Congratulations Veena on this fantastic achievement.

Mandy Berry – Registered Manager
Affinity North Lancashire & Burnley
Mandy joined the affinity team in 2013 as a Support Worker. Since 2013, Mandy has worked her way through the Management structure holding – Team Leader, Service Manager and now a Registered Manager post.
Mandy has years of experience predating her time with Affinity where she worked within community settings for the NHS.
Mandy loves supporting people, being out and about within services and prides herself on ‘never missing a deadline’.
In her spare time, she enjoys camping and marathon box set days.
Craig celebrated his 39th Birthday. He enjoyed a lovely meal planned by his friend Nicola.
