Hidden among the rugged peaks of the High Tatras lives a truly special creature—the Tatra Chamois 🏔️. This rare and majestic mountain goat is found only in Slovakia, making it a true national gem! 💎

Conquer Rysy with us this summer! We will hike to mt. Rysy on our Moderate to Hard Walking Holiday 17-21 June 2025. Rysy is hikeable from both Slovakia and Poland. As we specialise in Slovakian holidays, we will hike this up from the Slovakian side which is, of course, more beautiful! ;)

Rysy is the tallest mountain in Poland. You will be in 2 countries at the same time - have you ever experienced this while hiking? :)

The story started in 2017 when we took a group of our English friends over to Slovakia for a winter holiday. We organised every aspect of their holiday from car rental to activities. The reactions said it all! For the first time, we looked around our hometown with the eyes of tourists, absorbed the atmosphere, surroundings, people, nature and culture… This is when Tatra Escapes was born!
