Time for a wee dram?
We’ve always got time! 🕰️ Scotland is famous for our whisky, so whether it’s a quick stop or an in-depth whisky tour, we can create as much time as you like for our famous into your custom itinerary.
Just like father-and-son-in-law Dan and Larry did back in August with our guide, Tim. Combining different tours and experiences at their favourite whisky distilleries with other requested “must-sees” in a 4 day tour - we even planned their meals around sampling the best of our national drink 😄🥃

What a picnic spot last week. This is on one of our favourite wee walks in the Cairngorms - adaptable for any ability and fitness level, and perfect for any time of the year.

Splashing into 2025 💦 Happy New Year! A quick Loony Dook in a flooded Loch Insh surrounded by snowy hills ❄️ followed by a steaming mug of hot chocolate surrounded by friends and family 🥰 What more could you want?
We are looking forward to making more friends and more memories with even more guests throughout 2025 ❤️ (Ice cold swims are negotiable…!)

Did you know that today is Small Business Saturday? We didn’t! We just live, love and breathe “small business” every day 😄 Not just ourselves, but almost every other business we work with. It’s what makes us special, it’s what makes your tours special, and (well, we think) it’s what makes Scotland special.
Sometimes guests ask us how to travel more responsibly - supporting small, local businesses is one of the biggest steps we can all make in our respective journeys… (‘scuse the pun). It also means you’ll get to interact with local people who are genuinely passionate about what they (we) do and really, really care about every element of your experience with them (us!)
So thanks to everyone who has travelled with us, thanks in advance to everyone who is thinking of travelling with us - and of course, the biggest thanks of all to all of our lovely small business partners who make it all happen!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful for all of the new friends we have made this year and hope that you have a happy and peaceful celebration today, wherever you are and whoever you are with. ❤️

Time for a little rosy glow and a big helping of gratitude 😊 We are almost at the end of our busy summer season and we cannot thank our guests enough for (a) being awesome (all of you!) and (b) some amazing reviews 🌟
As a small business we put our heart and soul into coming up with what we think would be “the best” tour of Scotland for each of our guests. Everyone has different expectations, hopes and dreams and we try to tap into these when we are designing your tour - and then deliver way above expectations. It’s hard work but we love it ❤️ To get this kind of feedback at the end of a tour really does make our hearts and souls sing!
As a small business we rely so much on personal reviews and word of mouth recommendations when our guests get home and tell their friends all about us. It’s what keeps us on our toes and means we are always striving to be the best for all of you out there!
So thank you again to our wonderful guests! We will post a few more reviews every now and then over the winter, and we hope that you’ll take the time to look back on those happy memories and photo albums again too 😊

A private piper to motivate and kick-start an early morning hike in Royal Deeside ☀️ Doesn’t happen every day of the week!
This talented young man is playing at the today, but we were privileged to have him to ourselves with a backdrop of the River Dee and forests and mountains of the Cairngorms National Park last Tuesday. The guests were delighted with their surprise - after that, the hike through the beautiful heather and ancient woodlands with babbling brooks glittering in the sunshine… was a little secondary 😆

Well prepared ☔️! Lovely friends Cathy and Therrissa toured Scotland with us over 9 days this summer ☺️ It was one of many return trips for Cathy, but a first time tour of Scotland for Therrissa, so the brief was to find places of calm and tranquility away from the tourist hubbub whilst also visiting those key locations that draw so many to Scotland in the first place. Just the kind of itinerary that we love to plan!
Bronze Age burial cairns, boat trips and cute puffins, coastal walks in east and west, hidden churches, gardens blooming with colour, tea and cake in remote highland glens, sideways rain….. and yes, even some sunshine!
Thanks to both ladies for being such delightful travelling companions 😊

Wind swept and interesting! 😄 Probably the best description of our busy summer so far! This weekend we had a fabulous time looking after brilliant friends Susan and Connie, taking them to some of our favourite old haunts in Royal Deeside.
It was a return visit for Susan, who I’d guided two years ago with a different group, but this time she wanted to spend more time in the great outdoors - and both ladies also wanted to take advantage of the longer open season from to pop in to the Royal Family’s own holiday home whilst we were there 👑
What a time to visit, with the gardens ready for His Majesty’s visit, the heather in full bloom and blue skies to accompany the slightly breezy (and yes, a little showery!) conditions. Away from the castle, we didn’t see a soul ☺️
They are now “hitting” the Edinburgh Festival - quite a different experience 😅🎨
