‼️ Exciting news ‼️

⏺️ As the business grows we’ve needed to make a few changes.

⏺️ First up in the really exciting news that my wife Sally is joining me to work full time. Behind the scenes initially but as she learns the ropes she’ll be getting more involved. Sally of course has almost 20 years travelling experience alongside me to call on and as the business has grown it seem like the natural choice.

⏺️ As it’s now a family business we also wanted to change the name to reflect this and Maslen Tailormade Travel is born. Still powered and backed by Travel Counsellors and nothing changes on that front but this just carries our family name and what we are best at, tailormade travel.

⏺️ We can’t wait to get started in 2025 with lots more exciting things to come and helping our fantastic clients with their travel plans.

🎄 Christmas Party!

We decided to do it a bit differently this year and spend a day and night at Rudding Park in Harrogate. We joined up with the Cheer Travel team who we share an office with and had the best time.

A lovely spa day with lunch in dressing gowns for Lauren and followed by dinner and a stay at this stunning hotel.

Great food, great company and Sally got to meet baby Atlas for the first time!

April and May are by far the best months to go, when baleen whales are migrating through these Atlantic waters and there is the opportunity to see the magnificent blue whale - the largest animal in the world, with its heart the size of a piano and its tongue weighing 2.7 tons.

Accompanied by experienced marine biologists, eagle-eyed travellers might spot fin, humpback, s***m, sei, mink and pilot whales. Plus, there’s a chance to see Bottlenose, Atlantic spotted, Striped and Risso dolphin.

Day 3 - Lapland 🇫🇮

Today was all about the experiences.

First up a walk to the local Reindeer farm and an interesting meeting with the local Sami people who have herded Reindeer for over 600 years.

Then we got to meet them and feed them before having a short sleigh ride around the Sami village

In the evening we went out on the snowmobiles again in search of those pesky Northern lights, a great trip anyway but alas no lights, but a very unique experience.

Today was actually quite mild at a steady -3

🦬 Bison Jam! Without hesitation our trip to Yellowstone in 2019 was my favourite trip. I loved the place. The wildlife, the views, the mountains, the Great Plains, the waterfalls, the driving and of course my favourite animal the Bison!
