🇺🇸 California Fly Drive

🔴 I’ve been lucky enough to visit California a couple of times over the years and during the Easter school holidays in 2022 I took the family for the first time.

🔵 (Yes it was post lockdown and I had a man bun!)

⚪️ With great cities like San Francisco and LA, Yosemite National Park, Monterey, the drive down Pacific Highway One, Cambria, Pismo Beach and Santa Barbara it’s an epic trip.

🔴 You can then easily add in places like Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, San Diego or Sequoia National Park. It has so many options and so much to do.

🇺🇸 New York in Winter

🔵 Last December I took my teenage daughters to New York for some Christmas shopping and to take in this amazing city at its absolute best!

⚪️ Seeing the Big Apple dressed up for Christmas is just brilliant. The Rockefeller tree, Sak’s and Macy’s and fifth avenue 😮

🔴 I’ve also been in February which is another great time to visit. Ice skating in Central Park, snow, crisp blue skies and it’s always great value.

✈️ What are you airports rituals?

Me and Sally go to Cafe Balzar at Manchester airport for Steak and frites every time we are in this terminal. The kids go to Burger King and then we spend a small fortune in WH Smith, every time!!!!

🟢The dates have been released this week and the excitement is building for one of sports most iconic events and a true bucket list trip for so many people.

📣 Universal Orlando has announced that Universal Epic Universe officially opens on May 22nd 2025,

🚨 Tickets will be going on sale from NEXT WEEK!

This will be Orlando's first new Theme Park since 1999!

Epic Universe will have 5 new worlds linked by portals:

💫 Dark Universe
💫 Super Nintendo World
💫 How to train you Dragon - Isle of Berk

With Universal's newest hotel Helios nearby with stunning park views!

For the UK market in 2025, a 1-Day ticket will be available to add onto your 3-Park Universal ticket, as initially there will only be 1 day ticket options to reduce overcrowding when they first open.

Looking forward to 2026, a 4-Park Explorer ticket will be available.

We can't wait for the portals to open!

📣 What’s been booking

The past few weeks have been so busy and I can’t thank all my fantastic clients enough. Here are some of the trips I’ve put together recently

However this trip takes you through this amazing part of the US on an unforgettable journey.

🇨🇦 Summer 2025 🇨🇦

Canada - West Coast ⬅️ East Coast ➡️ or both?

🍁June until September is the best time of year to visit this most amazing of countries.

🍁It’s so big, with so many places to visit it’s probably going to take a couple of trips. But I thought I’d show you two perfect itineraries to make the most of Canada.

🍁The West Coast. Vancouver is the start point and two or three nights in this fantastic city. Then get a seaplane to Victoria on Vancouver Island, it’s the best place to go whale watching 🐋 Pick up a car and head to the beautiful Tofino which is great for bear watching 🐻 stunning beaches and surfing!

🍁A ferry back to the mainland and head to Whistler, zip lining, mountain biking and hikes before you start your drive through the Rockies. Stay in Banff and visit Lake Louise, the Icefields, Jasper and Lake Morraine. A wonderful holiday.

🍁The East coast starts with Toronto. Another great city. From here head to the iconic Niagara Falls, maid of the mist and then drive to the majestic Algonquin National Park. So many activities you can do before driving through the park to Ottawa.

🍁Drop the car off in Montreal and spend a couple of nights before getting the train to Quebec and spend two or three nights in this most unique city.

So many options and so many trips I can tailor make for you and your family.

☀️ Summer 2025 Singapore & Bali 🇸🇬 🇮🇩

🔴South East Asia is a phenomenal part of the world and I absolutely love travelling there. However the summer can be tricky as it is monsoon season in a lot of countries.

⚪️Bali is the best exception to this. Not only is it not monsoon but it’s the best time to go! Me and Sally went on honeymoon here (no digital photos to add unfortunately!)

🔴I love combining it with a stop in Singapore as it’s a brilliant city that has it all. But depending on the best flights you could stop over in Dubai, Hong Kong or Kula Lumpar.

⚪️When in Bali I always recommend splitting your stay between Ubud and the beach. Ubud is in the cultural centre and there are lots of activities and this to do. The beaches are stunning and there are so many options in the evening for eating out.

🇮🇹 Italy Summer 2025 🇮🇹

I absolutely love putting together Italian itineraries. It’s a wonderful country, my favourite in Europe, and has so much to offer, and the food 🤩

🟢The great thing about Italy is the variety. I thought I’d share some of the amazing trips I’ve put together that could inspire your next trip.

Venice - Florence - Rome - Naples

⚪️Fly into Venice and stay in the Grand Canal. Yes do the gondola ride and see St Marks Square but explore the back streets and especially look out for the Cicchetti (Italian tapas)

🔴Then get the train to Florence and experience the stunning architecture, history and boutique hotels, and the food here is sensational.

🟢You could pick up a car and drive through Tuscany staying in beautiful vineyards and farmhouses before arriving in Rome, you could also get the train.

⚪️The eternal city has it all. World famous sight seeing, history around every corner and the home of Carbonara.

🔴You could start in Rome and then get the train to Naples. This is the gateway to the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Positano, Ravello and the stunning island of Capri. Not forgetting Vesuvius and Pompeii which are highlights of any trip to this part of Italy..

🟢This is a great trip but let’s not forget places like Sicily, that’s a two week trip on its own, Puglia, the Italian Lakes, Pisa and the Tuscan coast and Sardinia!

🇺🇸 USA Summer 2025 🇺🇸

America offers so many great options for families in the summer school holidays. Here are just a few ideas

🚗 California

The ultimate fly drive, especially for families with teenagers. A great mix of amazing cities like San Francisco and LA, National Parks like Yosemite and Sequoia and the great Pacific Highway One with stays in Monterey, Santa Barbara and Santa Cruz. There are so many different itineraries I can tailor make for you and your family.

🦬 Yellowstone

Our favourite ever road trip. Yellowstone is the most stunning National Park, with Great Plains, waterfalls, mountains, rivers and of course wildlife. The Bison traffic jams are iconic and seeing bears was a real highlight. There are lots of routes to get you there and I can turn this into an epic two week adventure

🎉 Florida

Orlando takes the attention with Disney and Universal. With Universal opening Epic Universe, the first new theme park in Orlando since 1999, coming next year it’s top of a lot of people’s lists. But you can see more than just the parks. We’ve been several times and the best time was when we mixed it with Miami and the Gulf coast. There are also the Keys, Atlantic coast, Daytona beach, Cape Canaveral, Naples and the Everglades. There is so much more to it.

🍎 New York and anywhere!

New York is my favourite city in America. It’s got everything from world famous sightseeing, iconic food and drink venues, great sport and is a must on everyone’s bucket list. But it doesn’t have to stop in New York, you can combine it with a train to Washington DC, Boston or both. You can fly to the Caribbean, Florida, Canada or anywhere else and combine it with a road trip. But including New York is always an option!

🇺🇸 Hawaii - Volcano House 🌋 This was the view of an erupting volcano from the hotel my clients were staying at this week. I always recommend staying for a night at Volcano House which is the only hotel within the Volcano National Park on big island. If Hawaii is on your list - get in touch 📧 [email protected]

🦬 Bison Jam! Without hesitation our trip to Yellowstone in 2019 was my favourite trip. I loved the place. The wildlife, the views, the mountains, the Great Plains, the waterfalls, the driving and of course my favourite animal the Bison! ☀️ We’ve spent this morning at the stunning Parklane in Limassol, recently voted by Conde Nest as the best hotel in Cyprus and the 6th best in Europe. I won’t disagree!

🐻 Bear 🐻 My clients in Canada 🇨🇦 have just sent this from Tofino on Vancouver Island. It’s the best place to see bears in their natural environment and because it’s a boat trip the bears go about their business. I always make sure clients have this tour booked during the Canadian trips and so far 100% sightings !
