Beautiful remote countryside location on the edge of Pentland Hills Regional Park, but with easy road and rail access to Edinburgh, Glasgow and the rest of Scotland. A traditional stone barn converted into a spacious and stylish two bedroom cottage. Camilty Cottage is situated next to our 300 year old former farmhouse at High Camilty, and has home from home facilities: extremely comfortable living

room with vaulted ceiling, original exposed stone wall and log burner, open plan to fully equipped cottage-style dining kitchen, an elegant king bedroom and a lovely twin bedroom, luxury shower room with huge walk-in shower and twin sinks, BBQ deck and secluded garden area. High Camilty has around 5 acres of gardens, woodland and fields, and is surrounded by Harburn Estate with the Pentland Hills Regional Park just to the south. The Cottage is ideal as a base for walking, cycling, golfing, fishing and outdoor activities, and is also great for exploring local towns and attractions or visiting Edinburgh, Glasgow and other parts of Scotland. Despite our remote and rural situation, we are just 10 minutes drive from the M8 motorway, 25mins drive from Edinburgh airport and less than 3 miles from Livingston South train station (trains to Edinburgh take from 20mins and Glasgow 50mins). We haven't had much availability over the past few months as we weighed up whether or not to apply for the new short term lets licence.
Good news! We hope to have the licence in place very soon and I’ll make lots more dates available in next few days.
As always, if you have dates in mind send an email or message, or book direct through AirBnB. It’s always worth getting in touch if your dates don’t look available as we may still be able to accommodate you.

We are incredibly grateful to the Scottish Fire Service who have been here since Wednesday. There is a huge wild fire close to the house and cottage and we are very thankful to the people who are working hard to control it.

We can now offer a new amenity -a helipad!!!
