At Dance Awards Ireland, we are dedicated to building a unique and authentic platform to celebrate dance excellence across the Republic of Ireland. We feel it is important to address recent confusion and misinformation surrounding our brand.

Recently, we’ve become aware that Dance Awards NI is circulating statements implying that Dance Awards Ireland is a “fake” brand and has copied their idea. We want to be clear: our journey began well over a year ago, and we have invested significant time, energy, and resources to establish Dance Awards Ireland as a legitimate and recognised entity. We are officially registered in the Republic of Ireland, secured our website danceawardsireland.com (currently being developed), and launched our social media channels to build a distinctive identity for the Irish dance community.

𝐈𝐧 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭, 𝐰𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 nearly a month before Dance Awards NI shared plans to extend their event to the Republic of Ireland. At the time they initially launched in Northern Ireland, no mention was made of events in the Republic of Ireland.

𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, each country operates independently, and our focus has always been on serving the Republic of Ireland with a distinct vision and purpose. We had no way of knowing if or when others might attempt to expand similar concepts across borders.

As the first to register our business, secure our digital presence, and publicly launch, Dance Awards Ireland stands as the original and official brand in the Republic of Ireland. The integrity of our brand and our commitment to the Irish dance community is our priority, and we remain undeterred in our mission to celebrate and support dance talent throughout Ireland.

We appreciate the ongoing support from our community and look forward to building something exceptional together.

Introducing our Team Northern Ireland 2024 Captain 🌟🌟
Our very own student, Amelia 🌟 Congratulations!
Amelia will lead Team Northern Ireland in the Opening Parade alongside the two mascots at the 🇨🇿.
This is a significant role and a privilege to represent Northern Ireland, and we hope she will thoroughly enjoy this adventure!
As a dancer, Amelia achieved great success in her qualifier for the finals of the Dance World Cup 2024, securing 1st place with an impressive score of 94% and earning the Head Judges' choice for best overall solo dancer.
Amelia attends St Mary's High School Newry, Year 10, and has been a student at Dance Associate since September 2023. In less than a year, Amelia has already demonstrated outstanding progress in her dancing.
At the Opening Parade ceremony, on 27th June in Prague, Amelia will lead Team Northern Ireland accompanied by two mascots. She will serve as an ambassador for NI and will have the opportunity to meet the Chairman and Judges on stage at the end of the parade, where she will shake hands with all the judges. Additionally, she will have the chance to take photos with other captains and mascots from various countries.
This is truly an amazing achievement.
