On Saturday the 22nd March Semperfli will be bringing their roadshow to North Wales. There will be some excellent local fly tyers there, as well as some of Semperfli's fantastic pro tyers, ready to answer questions, demonstrate and give advice.
I will also be attending, and available throughout the day giving casting demonstrations, fly casting advice and problem solving. Find me on the field outside the hall, come over for a chat.

Had an excellent few days away at the AAPGAI Autumn assessment weekend.
Caught up with Luke Bannister and Jonathan Morris, we took our first tests at this location some years ago.

Two days of assessments followed by the open day, which comprised casting and fly tying demonstrations. A misty morning, which lifted into a beautiful day.

Fly tying club kicks off again this week. Beginners to old hands, all are welcome. Some simply come along for a fly fishing social and get-together.

Early morning at the Brenig recently, one half of the ginger army tagged along and took all the glory. One of us was casting the other retrieving!.

Very good morning with client, who came along for a double handed session with two setups.

One of which was a Sage trout spey, the other a 12+ 8 weight. Both are excellent for the Welsh Dee.

Fun at the members night last night. Good catching up with friends and fellow members.
My daughter teaching her mum to tie flies was entertaining.

Great couple of days at the BFFI

It was a really great show and an opportunity to catch up with friends old and new before the seasons get going.

My daughter made a new friend , an inspiring lady and advocate for female fly tyers.

It's great to see young Matthew on fly tyers row. He's come a long way since the inaugural evening of our local fly tying club.

Managed to keep the spending to a minimum this year.
