It's only early February and yet, we already have customers from the Scottish Highlands and the south coast of England reporting tick bites!
We know we're repeating ourselves, but we cannot emphasise enough! The absolute number one priority is not what you do when you get bitten, it's don't get bitten.
Use a good quality repellent on all areas of exposed skin, check pets, particularly at this time of year, and stick to established tracks and paths if at all possible.

Three different DEET repellents:

It's only the first week of March, but we have our first reports of tick bites for 2022!
The number one priority remains the same as it's always been. Don't get bitten!
• Wear a good quality insect repellent during outdoor activities.
• Avoid walking through long grass and stick to paths. If you have to walk through longer grass, tuck your trousers into socks if possible. Fashion disasters are better than tick bites!
• Wear light coloured clothing and brush off any visible ticks. (At this time of year ticks may be very small)
• Check yourself, your children and your pets for ticks when you can. Remember ticks may not bite where they first attach, so check skin that might have been covered by clothing.
