Navigating airport security often means surrendering your water bottle, only to face inflated prices for refreshments post-checkpoint. At Lisbon Airport, however, there are cost-effective solutions to stay hydrated after security.

Terminal 1:

Vending Machines: Immediately after the security checkpoint, before entering the duty-free area, there are vending machines offering 0.5-liter water bottles for €1.

Water Fountains: Near the toilets opposite gates S11 and S12, there are functioning drinking water fountains suitable for refilling bottles.

Terminal 2:

Water Fountain: Just after passing through security, there's a water fountain located near the tables designated for reorganizing luggage. It's easy to miss, so keep an eye out for it.

While €1 per bottle isn't as economical as supermarket prices, it's more affordable than other outlets within the airport. For those who prefer tap water, the available drinking fountains provide a convenient option to refill reusable bottles.

By utilizing these resources, you can stay hydrated without incurring high costs or contributing to plastic waste.

There's supposed to be something under the Templar Church in Tomar.

The Hidden Treasures of the Templars
The Knights Templar were rumored to have amassed great wealth, including the Holy Grail and sacred relics. After their dissolution, legends suggest they hid these treasures. Tomar, as a Templar stronghold, is often linked to these myths. The Convent of Christ, with its secretive architecture, hidden passageways, and mysterious symbols, is a perfect setting for such tales.

More than 130 hamsters got loose in the hold of a TAP flight that was meant to be flying from Ponta Delgada in the Azores to Lisbon, Observador reports. On November 13 baggage crews discovered the transport cages destined for a pet shop were damaged and 132 rodents had escaped. The plane was stuck on SĂŁo Miguel until November 17, when crews eventually managed to resolve the situation. The order also included birds and ferrets but it's not clear if they escaped too.

Sunday Saint's day in Tomar. Jolly story about Iria a 7th century nun who came a cropper with a monk, a young suitor and a potion that makes you look pregnant. I don't know if the road sweepers are in the procession as council workers or cleaners. The display ends with petals being tossed into the river where she was murdered, oh yea she was murdered.
