IRISH WILD ATLANTIC WAY TOUR 2025
Christmas is nearly upon us, and what a daugnting prospect that is! Family coming around, all bedecked in Christmas jumpers, and waiting for the starting pistol to be fired, so that they can eat and drink you out of house and home, ho ho ho! Anyway, there's always the back door and a quick exit on the bike.. (You can tell her that I said it would be OK).
So, in order to have something to look forward to in 2025, here is a quick and dirty overview of next September's Vertu BMW Wild Atlantic Way Tour to Ireland.....
We depart on Thursday 11th September, riding over Snowdonia to Holyhead, to catch the mid-afternoon ferry to Dublin. Upon arrival we have a short ride to our first hotel to the west of the city. On Friday, avoiding the main roads, we ride south west, joining the Wild Atlantic Way soon after dinnertime, which we follow for the next four days, with overnight stays in West Cork, Killarney, Spanish Point and Westport, before turning inland to spend our penultime night in Kilkenny. Our last night in Ireland will be in Bray near to Dublin, and on that night we have arranged a coach to take the group up into the Wicklow Mountains for an Irish Ceilidh and a meal.
Boarding the ferry the next afternoon, we arrive back in Holyhead around 6.00 pm, and as we will be tired by this point, we've booked a hotel near to the port before riding home the following morning.
The package includes eight nights bed breakfast and evening meal accommodation at tried and tested, mainly 4-star, hotels, return ferries, and of course comprehensive tour guidance notes/maps, GPX routes, with your's truly chaperoning you all the way around.
The package cost of the tour is as follows:-
One Rider, single bike, single room - £1995.00
Rider & Pillion, single bike, double room - £2495.00
Two riders, two bikes, twin room - £1495.00/person. (NB if you wish to book shared accommodation, please name and shame your roomie).
We will be taking bookings in the first few weeks of 2025, and if you want a place please be sure to book early as there has already been a lot of enquiries and places will sell out quickly.
Joking aside, have yourselves a Very Merry Christmas and I'm already looking forward to riding with you in 2025 and sharing some craic over a pint or two of Guinness.
Ride safe in 2025, make it a Happy New Year!
