There is a new event - 'Feerie Florale' being held at Alden Biesen, Belgium from 27th to 30th September 2024.
This is a new partnership between The Commandery at Alden Biesen and the Royal Belgian professional association for florists (Beflorist.be) promising to be a visual spectacle.
“Alden Biesen will be transformed into an enchanting fairy-tale world for four days,” says director Patrick Cornelissen of the Grand Commandery Alden Biesen.
From Friday September 27 until Monday, September 30, 2024, visitors will be immersed in the beautiful world of floral art: a true symbiosis between art, culture and heritage and of course Floral Tours will be there too!

This new event is replacing the previous partnership but promises to be just as spectacular.
Our plans are confirmed and we have pleasure in circulating the details of the content of our tours to the event that may well be of interest. We run this tour by coach or flights.

Once a year, during the spring season, the city of Girona transforms into a spectacular floral display when Girona celebrates its acclaimed Temps de Flors, a festival that dresses the city with beautiful flowers, striking colours, and penetrating aromas.
Girona’s historic centre’s monuments, courtyards and urban locations turn into floral creations and ornamental gardens and this is a unique opportunity to access monuments and buildings usually not opened to the public.

Have you ever thought of visiting the fantastic 'Temps de Flors' in Girona?

You may have already heard the exciting news out this week.....Alden Biesen starts the collaboration for a new flower festival! Alden Biesen is pleased with the new commitment with the Royal Belgian trade association for florists.
From September 20 to 23, 2024, visitors will again be immersed in the beautiful world of floral art: a true symbiosis between art, culture and heritage. We know this will be different to previous events but we cannot wait to attend.
We have our accommodation in place and if you are interested in visiting the event on an individual or group basis please do not hesitate to contact us, exciting times!!

This weekend is our last trip to this year's Keukenhof Gardens and I am sure as always it will be a good one!!
The weather has not always been good for visiting but as with every visit the displays have been fantastic.
Keukenhof is the international and independent showcase for the Dutch floricultural sector, with a special emphasis on flower bulbs. In the space of eight weeks Keukenhof demonstrates what the Dutch floricultural sector has to offer. The focus in the park is on the 7 million spring flowering bulbs, 100 flower bulb companies display their products and 500 growers present an enormous variety of cut flowers and pot plants at more than 20 flower shows.
Already looking forward to next year 21st March - 12th May 2024!!

A busy time of year for us all with a lot happening in the next few months. With Keukenhof opening it's 2023 season in 10 days time we are finalising our planned trips.
We have the NAFAS National event and the Girona Flower Festival in May plus our garden tours through June and July with Fleuramour in September, lots to look forward to and enjoy!!

We have had a very active first half of the year and although people are still a little reluctant to travel, plans are being made for later this year and well in to 2023 so at last travel is back on the map!!
We have our fabulous Fleuramour Tours at the end of September but before that we are returning to the Floriade again this year and the tour is for individual bookings so, if you are interested give us a call or do message/email us for more details. In the meantime enjoy your garden and flowers through the wonderful months Summer.😊

September is a busy month with all the UK Floral and Horticultural events being reschedule due to the restrictions we have been under for the last 18 months.
In Europe we are so sad that we were unable to take you to Fleuramour in Belgium this year but we really appreciate the groups already booked moving their tours to 2022.
As this is the weekend it all happens we thought a flashback would remind you of this great event and help you look forward to Fleuramour 2022 which will start in less than 1 year!! Enjoy.....

....Looking through the India images again the tut-tut ride was great fun and we thought for those who were unable to make the tour they could experience the Hussle and bustle!

Sharing our video of Hunte's Garden......Created by a legendary horticulturist with an unusual flair, Anthony Hunte, these extraordinary gardens are a great visit for keen gardeners and enthusiasts alike. Their placement is really most unusual - in the centre of Barbados' rain forest, in a sink-hole-like gully. Thanks to such an interesting location, the garden offers a multidimensional experience, with vigorous plants densely growing on many levels - from sunny and open spaces, down to a mysterious, dark heart of real Caribbean jungle. It was a great day and it should brighten up all of ours!

Why Floral Tours?

Pat Cooke and her team have extensive experience between them of providing tailored tours and excursions to Floral and Horticultural groups.

Floral Tours is a privately owned British Company. Pat Cooke is the Owner and CEO of Floral Tours.

Pat has a solid background in business with a history of working for and running companies successfully while also taking them to the next level. Her background is in IT but when she was head hunted with an opportunity to work in the travel industry she took it onboard and has not looked back since. Although made redundant from her initial role in the industry due to lack of funds this did not dampen her enthusiasm.
