OPEN FOR BUSINESS
Dear Customers.
With the easing of government restrictions, we are now fully operational and our usual service has resumed....
We'd like to thank you for your patience and understanding during the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown.
We are keen to return to normal working practices, but as the risks of transmission are still quite high, we will continue with our current business practices to ensure the safety of our family and all our customers.
Please see guidelines and recommendations below....
STEPS THAT WE HAVE TAKEN TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY:
We have been busy taking steps to ensure that we can work safely within your home following all the Government and Gas Safe Register guidelines and recommendations.
As this is a family-run business, our engineer and all household members will be taking our temperatures daily, and the engineer will cease work immediately and self-isolate if any of us are showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
The engineer will be wearing a mask and disposable gloves throughout his visit to your property, to minimise the potential spread of any virus bacteria.
STEPS THAT YOU MUST TAKE TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF ALL CONCERNED:
We will require our customers to adhere strictly to Government guidelines, and politely ask that if we are due to attend your property, you MUST let us know if you or any household member has symptoms of Covid-19, so that we can re-schedule your appointment for after your isolation period ends.
Similarly, please inform us if you are vulnerable or shielding prior to our visit, so that we can discuss any changes to our business practices that may need to be addressed.
We ask that you please respect the 2m social distancing rule throughout our engineer’s visit, and preferably avoid staying in the same room as the engineer for any length of time.
It is recommended that all internal windows and doors remain open throughout the visit to allow good air flow and minimise contact with door handles.
We would appreciate it if customers could kindly ensure that access can be gained to all areas and appliances where the engineer will need to work, and that these areas be clean and tidy before he arrives to avoid unnecessary delay, and reduce the amount of time needed to be spent in each property.
Although the engineer will be carrying hand sanitiser gel, we would greatly appreciate your help in allowing him access to handwashing facilities where possible please.
CHANGES TO OUR USUAL BUSINESS PRACTICES:
You will not be required to sign any of the engineer reports or paperwork during the visit.
We would ideally prefer payment to be made via bank transfer, but if unavoidable then cheque or cash payments will still be accepted.
Please be considerate of the need to limit the amount of time the engineer spends in each property. This is to keep you and others safe. Where our engineer would usually engage in general conversation or accept any beverages offered, sadly this can no longer be the case.
As our engineer will need to minimise the number of surfaces he touches, and will also be wearing PPE, he will not be able to answer phone calls throughout the day. So please leave an answerphone message so that he can return your call, hopefully before the end of his working day.
Again, we thank you for your understanding and patience during the pandemic and beyond.
STAY SAFE……
Rick & Julie

Gas Safe Register replaced the CORGI registration in 2009. It is the official list of gas engineers who are qualified to work legally on gas appliances.
