50 Photographic Safaris FiveZero Safaris is a photographic safari company, designed for photographers, by photographers.

We organize photographic safaris around the world, chosen specifically to coincide with nature’s most amazing spectacles. We provide exclusive safaris, allowing for a very personable experience with an award winning wildlife photographer, who will both coach you in photography, as well as host you throughout your safari. All of our hosts are experts in their field, and have worked in the industry

for several years. We offer pre-planned safaris, fully customized safaris - allowing you to create your own experience, and a combination of the two – where you can ‘add on’ to the existing safari. All our safaris carry a maximum limit of six guests, so that each member of the safari gets ample one on one time with their host. Every level photographer is welcome on our safaris, from day one beginners to seasoned professionals. The coaching you need is offered on an individual basis, so you learn what you want to learn, leaving you with a greater understanding of photography, and fantastic images to take home. All our safaris are taken in wild and free environments, focusing on studying and capturing wild behavior. On our safaris, only top-level accommodation is chosen, using reputable lodges and camps. Luxurious settings provide an amazing platform, from which to photograph the world’s wildlife wonders.

Serval:
Servals are small cats found in the grasslands of Africa. These are 2 serval kittens, making them very small cats found in the grasslands of Africa.

Ruppells starling:
The wonderful iridescent colouration of the starlings comes from coherent scattering, whereby the various angles of the internal feather structures affect the directional scattering of light. This is why they sometimes appear black at certain angles. Iridescent feathers are made of barbs and barbules that are composed of hollow melanin granules. These hollow granules allow for increased reflection and scattering of light in specific directions. Melanin is organized in layers which are stacked on each other; a higher number of granule layers creates a more intense iridescence.
If you read all that, you get a solid high five from me and a low five from this starling.

Lion:
Lions are surprisingly good at climbing trees given their size. It is coming down where they lose their grace and poise.

Red fox:
Unfortunately, they are so often the villain of the piece, but I think these guys are fantastic (assuming you are not a chicken). They have real character and are very quick to learn. This one has learnt to pose in the rain. What a champ.

Golden Eagle:
Golden eagles have amazing eyesight, and can spot rabbits from 2 miles away! Also, a recent study has now confirmed that golden eagles look very cool@in the rain.

Iberian lynx:
They are slightly smaller and their spots are more prominent than the Eurasian Lynx, and they are only found in small pockets of Spain and a few in Portugal.

They are still recognised as the rarest feline in the world, but good efforts are being made by locals to get the numbers up.

Brown Bear:
In the wild, brown bears will live between 20-30 years (if things go well), giving this little guy 19-29 more years to enjoy its reflection.

Brown Bear:
Even during the long summer days, brown bears are usually active around dusk and dawn, which means that you basically get no sleep trying to see them as dusk to dawn goes continuously from 21:30 - 04:00, and that they end up in light like this!

Grey Wolf:
Grey wolves in Finland are the same species as the Gray wolves in North America (although they are separate subspecies, and they also spell their name correctly).

Black Leopard:
Leopards are known for their incredible camouflage, and their ability to disappear right in front of you, so how would a black leopard fare? I am not an antelope, so I can’t confirm my suspicions, but it must be horrible at night if you are a dik-dik and you happen to live along this stretch of river.

There are 6 sub-species of tigers in the world today; this is the Bengal tiger, which is most numerous, numbering around 2517.

Griffon Vulture:
Griffon vultures live an average of 41 years. This makes me a smidge above average (if I was a vulture).
