Day 4 After walking up to the alarm of the fruit and veg vendor we went for breakfast with my cousins and can you believe I’ve never had a pistacchio cream croissant. It was so good and has become my new favorite! Then we went to Cammarata which is about 20 min from Mussomeli and it’s a big water park. Entrance with 4 beds and 2 umbrellas came up €105. They do allow you to bring your own food which I would recommend cause the lunch here is what really lets it down and keeps the cost down. If you don’t have their hot lunch which is served buffet style your choices are hot dogs and chip buttys. In the evening we spent time with my family celebrating a wedding anniversary and enjoying some tavola calda. Day 3 The late nights are finally taking their toll and we decided to have a mooch day. That’s one of the perks of being away for a while you don’t feel like you have to Jam Pack every moment, so we did chores played games as the weather wasn’t great and then went out for a mooch in the afternoon once everything opened after nap time. Brought a sofa had an apertivo then siena stayed with my parents whilst I enjoyed a child free evening. Tonight they had an event in the piazza of live dj music and it starts LATE! Be prepared in European countries that most events start after 9.30 and go on till 2-3 am. The main act didn’t turn up till 1am! Pack with me for a romantic trip to Bordeaux with my husband this weekend. I like to pack at least 2 weeks before I travel. We walked into @versovarestaurant a vibrant and cosy restaurant that smelled divine and was almost full at 7pm, so book ahead.
The vibe is upmarket but understated unlike your typical curry house which was a nice change and made it feel like it was a little more of a special meal. But don’t be fooled, there was a real mixture of people there, families, couples and groups of friends so it’s def not just for special occasions.
Starting out strong with a little taste of puchka or pani puri in other places I’ve had them, compliments of the chef. I would have actually ordered these as a starter so little win for me cause I got to have some for free.
Chicken lollipops which were spicy garlicky mouth-wateringly moreish , kale & onion bahji with a yogurt sauce and pomegranate, these were recommended to us and were a lovely texture with the pomegranate a perfect addition. The prawns were a deep Smokey flavour with a sauce that added some heat if you wanted.
Usually we wouldn’t order a mixed grill but it’s the perfect way to try all the meats and another recommended dish which was the Dhaba lamb curry. High quality dishes, with juicy chicken, melt in your mouth lamb and a deep flavourful sauce that we mopped up with our garlic naan. For me the star of the show was the black Dahl and even my husband who isn’t big on lentils said it was so delicious. Creamy, deep flavours with perfectly cooked lentils this was the perfect side dish.
No room for dessert which I always say is a sign of a good meal I was fit to pop and ready for bed.
What a great addition to the food scene in horsell and a perfect night out either as a family or friends or partner. You could even have a little drink before or after at the amazing @ahmicclass across the road and make an evening of it!

We are staying at the gorgeous @mondrianbordeaux which wasn’t as you know our original plan (that’s not the slip Sandro picked in our game) but I couldn’t help myself and rules holiday rules are made to be broken! I just love the Mondrian brand and this hotel has pretty much just opened, how could I miss out on a chance of exploring these dreamy vibes!

Bangkok the place we thought we’d like the least but what a surprise it was.
We loved it!
It was an assault on all our senses, it was vibrant, loud and just full on crazy!
We did a tuk tuk food tour that took us to china town and we ate our way through the whole street. The prices were so cheap and the food was unreal.
Our hotel was the @akarabangkok it was super reasonable at around £100 a night and was luxurious with an amazing rooftop pool which had views to die for. The breakfast buffet had the largest variety of asian food of the whole trip and I wish I was a breakfast person cause it would have been a proper feast.
After a day of sightseeing the rooftop pool was the perfect location to chill with a beer and take in the view.
Don’t miss out on Bangkok 3 days is the perfect amount of time to spend there and we are def looking forward to visiting again!
