Hi,

We thought we would reintroduce ourselves with all our new followers 🥹

We are Natalie & Sophie - Your Travel Huns ✈️🌍

Our friendship began 5 years ago when Sophie visited Natalie for an eyelash beauty treatment. During these appointments, the conversations flowed and we realised we shared two passions in life - dance music 💃 and travelling / holidays 🌞.

Since 2019 our friendship has grown which, in turn, has to lead to many gigs, festivals and trips abroad. Now in 2024 we have decided to use our passion to create amazing experiences for others and 'Travel Huns' was born.

The name Travel Huns began when we started calling each other 'Hun' as a pet name and it kinda stuck. So what better name for our new venture.

We have had a fabulous update from one of our lovely customers, Phil, who flew to Lanzarote on Saturday for a 5 night winter sun break! 🌞

They are staying at the Mynd Yaiza Hotel in Playa Blanca on a Jet 2 package and kindly sent some photos and a message to us.

They say 'There's a whole other half of the Mynd Yaiza hotel. The family side with two heated pools, slides, a water obstacle course, snack bar - as well as the chilled side - it is brilliant here 😎🌞❤️'

Good morning,

It's Nat here, back on frozen UK soil 🥶

I've been meaning to jump on and update you all on our trip around some parts of Asia, but our journey was so busy that we didn't get a minute.

The last time I posted on our page , we checked into a beautiful beach cottage on Lamai Beach in Koh Samui. We will 100% be going back to this place it was just stunning. Listening to those waves just outside our place was something I'll never forget 🥰. We arranged for a sp*ed boat to take us over to Koh Phangan for NYE - we were delayed due to heavy police force involved for safety checks for all boats due to the fatal accident a few days before on the island. The full moon party was insane. Everywhere you looked, there were people fire breathing, dancers, challenges, and competitions. There were 100s of tiny bars, stages, and food vendors it was crazy busy, and I'm glad we got to experience this.

After our time on these islands, we headed back to the mainland and jumped on a sleeper train to Bangkok. This was also another experience I wanted to tick off my list. Whilst this is a cheap way to travel long distance and does not take any days away from exploring, I'm not sure I'd do it again in a hurry. I think we paid around £20 each for a bottom bunk bed. You don't get any food or drink included in this price. We were on this train for 11 hours and we both didn't sleep very well as the train is quite an old train and very loud.

The toilet wasn't a western toilet either, so trying to p*e into a hole on the ground on a moving train was quite the challenge 😅.

Once we arrived in Bangkok, we went straight to the airport and jumped our flight to Kuala Lumpur. We had booked an apartment for this leg of our journey, and we had a beautiful view of the city from our room.

We had 2 full days here to explore, we saw the city in both night and day, explored the famous Petarling street food market and also visited the Batu Caves (I spent alot of money feeding the wild monkeys and pigeons 😅).

From Kuala Lumpur, we booked a VIP coach, which drove us into Singapore within about 5.5hrs. This bus was around £15 each and was super comfy.

We had 3 nights booked in a Holiday Inn just 4 stops away from the city on the metro.

Whilst in Singapore, we visited the famous Marina Bay Sands hotel. Had some food and drink with a view of the city, went to the casino (lost money 😅), went to Raffles, and had the famous Singapore sling cocktail... was very delicious. We visited the Super Flowers in the Bay Gardens, went in shopping malls, wandered around the bay, and watched light displays. Although we packed a lot into Singapore, we felt very relaxed coming back home.

We had a nightmare getting home as our flight was cancelled 🙃 took close to 50 hours getting back, which kinda took away our holiday buzz.

We are so grateful we got to experience all that we did, I'd definitely visit some places again, but for now, this Travel Hun is tired and all spent up. So back to work and usual day to day stuff (until I get itchy feet again anyway)
