I had a great visit to The Burrell Collection in Glasgow today. There is so much to see and you could easily spend 3 or 4 hours here if you want to see and read everything.
A new special (paid) exhibition with all 27 items by Degas in the Burrell collection is well worth a visit.

Nothing beats fresh Scottish seafood - and if you are in Ullapool, you need to go to the fantastic . I had 3 lovely langoustines and the battered Haddock wrap with lemon mayonnaise.
I've also created a list of Scottish seafood shacks in Google maps - head across to my Scotland Tour Guide page to find out more. This is a dynamic list and will be added to as I find more or have more recommended to me.

Two different sets of waterfalls near Callander in the Trossachs region of Scotland today. I have been looking for suitable walks of about 1 hour that aren't too strenuous but are scenic for some upcoming guests. The first are Bracklinn Falls above the town of Callander and the second are the Falls of Leny just to the west of Callander.
Despite the recent rain, there is not enough water to show them at their best!

So lovely to see all the new growth coming through as the sun comes out and it warms up.
The vibrant yellow and smell of coconut from the gorse is always welcome and I love the lime green as all the new leaves begin to open up. The country is being transformed once more.

Saw this Honesty Kiosk (unmanned) on the way to Glenshee from Pitlochry and decided to stop on the way back. Wow ! What an amazing array of traybakes, local eggs, gifts and loads of other stuff as well.
My clients that arrive shortly have a (self confessed) sweet tooth so we'll definitely be stopping here at Ice Cream & Cake Box
Details to follow online are on the last photo.

It has been a very busy start to the season with my time split between Edinburgh and Inverness working with groups visiting from USA.
I am now preparing for a tour I put together for some returning Canadian guests that will take us to many beautiful places. I'll provide updates along the way.
My diary is now full for this season - thank you to all for your bookings. This really is the best job in the world !
