A beautifully restored town house comfortably sleeping 6 in three good-sized bedrooms, No.8 has all the mod-cons you’d expect plus a few nice surprises like a lovely south facing decked area and a nearby parking space! The fully equipped kitchen, includes a range cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine and of course a dishwasher. The living area is light, spacious and open plan, with li
ving room and dining area, and a sash window overlooking the garden. Upstairs there are two double bedrooms with king size beds and a twin room, sleeping 6 in total. The first double has wooden shutters, exposed stone wall and a feature fireplace with views out to sea. Also on the first floor is the newly renovated family bathroom with shower over bath and a new separate shower room. Up to the top floor, the double is a large loft room with fantastic views across St. Ives and out to sea and the twin room with full sized singles and a side-view across the Island. On all floors, there is plenty of hanging space and storage for clothes and all your holiday paraphernalia. For a quick exit, take the path from the garden and you’re at the Barbara Hepworth museum in three minutes and a pasty in three and a half.

We’ve had a cancellation in August and some changes to our own plans so we have some rare availability to share.
Our lovely sunny house sleeps 6 (+2 little ones). It’s on a quiet terrace, a few minutes walk from town and the wonderful beaches. We have everything you need for a relaxing stay in St Ives and parking for one car is included, a short walk away.

The festive period in St Ives is really special. We currently have Christmas week and New Year available due to a cancellation.
Christmas week from 22nd or 23rd for 7 nights: £1,150
New Year - 7 nights from 30th December: £1,400
No.8 sleeps six, we have two bathrooms, three bedrooms, parking in a nearby private space, views across the harbour from the upper floors and we're a few minutes walk to town, the Tate and Porthmeor Beach. A lovely, homely house to spend Christmas or be in the centre of town for all of the New Year madness.

We all know that parking can be a challenge in the beautiful St Ives but now, when you book your stay at No.8, parking for one car is included and you can come and go as you please. The parking space is a few minutes’ walk away off of Porthmeor Hill and suitable for cars (not vans). We have just one block of 6 nights available in May, plenty of availability in June and one week of the summer hols left from 13th August. The argument over which way you should put your jam and cream on your scones seems to have finally been settled by a study carried out at the University of Eastern England. Months of research have pulled together a large amount of data that appears to suggest that there is a scientific reason why putting the jam on first is the correct way.
Professor Stanley Stead-Mountfitchet, who led the research, stated “ It seems that by adding the jam first and then biting into the cream the chemical reactions created by the taste buds in the top of the mouth are tricked by the soft neutral taste of the cream, giving a sharp reaction when you reach the tangy jam. When the experiment is reversed the taste buds have already been awoken by the jam before you reach the cream, so there is less of a contrast, and because of this you don’t enjoy the sensation of eating the product so much”
The news will come as no surprise to inhabitants of Cornwall, who for years have argued that ‘jam first’ is the correct, and only way to eat scones.
