International Women’s Day – Reel Rock style!
Meet Babsi Zangerl, widely regarded as the best all-around female climber in the world. After finding climbing in the gym as a youngster, Babsi transitioned to outdoor rock and went on to make an ascent of Pura Vida (V12/13, 8A+/8B) in Switzerland, the hardest boulder climbed by a woman at the time.
Since switching her focus to rope climbing, Babsi has climbed 5.14d/9a and runout 5.14 trad climbs, become the first woman to complete the famed Alpine Trilogy, and has sent five of El Cap’s hardest big-wall free climbs. On top of that, she balances climbing with a part-time job as a radiology assistant near her home in Blundenz, Austria. Wow.

The time has almost come!! This Friday, Palmer Street Bottle is bringing the Rock Tour - UK and Ireland to Frome Boulder Rooms.
'Barefoot Charles' follows the opera singing, cave dwelling, Frenchman around the forest of Fontainebleau while he takes on some mad hard boulders...with no shoes.
Unit 4 will be closed from 6pm for the event, but the rest of the centre will remain open as usual, until 9pm! Bring your blankets and get cosy with us...
