Spaces available in popular community exercise class targeting people who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis / osteopenia. Wednesday classes are over subscribed and I'm starting two new classes on a Thursday morning in Hampstead, North London. Please share my poster...

Friends: I am starting a new Osteoporosis Targeted Class at the Royal Free Recreation Centre so I'll be looking for osteoporotic and osteopenia bodies to come. If you know anyone who fits the bill please send them my way. The class is targeted at bone building major fracture sites and falls prevention work. We do this through strength and balance exercises. Each class has a warm up and a safe cardio section before we get on to the main body of the class. The cost is likely to be £6 a session, paying 2 months in advance, with an opportunity to view a class before committing.

Neck Placement: I found this lovely clear explanation on corepilates.org.uk and wanted to share it with you. It's important to place your neck in the best position before doing an exercise so that you aren't over flexing / extending. Read / look at this to see how to find the correct placement for you. It'll be different for everyone! Have a go at home so that you know what you will / won't need in terms of props before your next Pilates class. A thick yoga block is usually far too thick for anybody. Use a thin pilates head block or fold a jumper in half and use that.

Hello Imperial College! I've just realised that the link on the yoga society leads directly here - who knew?! I don't use this page much but did want to welcome you all should you land upon this post. I hope you're ready for some fun times on Mondays at 6:15pm. The class in Pilates Fusion where Pilates principles are fused with mainstream fitness exercises and yoga. Every part of your body will get a workout, most of it will get a lengthening and by the end you'll have a chance to flake out (known as relaxation). I really hope you enjoy my classes. I welcome echoes of comradery during the session. Come hydrated, bring your smile and enjoy! See you all soon!
