Yesterday we attended the River Tweed Trail experience design workshop at Glentress. With branding launched and path works underway, we were interested to hear more about the potential of this new source-to-sea trail. We look forward to seeing the finalised route map and eventually walking down the Tweed!

Over the last couple of years we have been adding hillwalking holidays to our trekking calendar, as well as running some bespoke hillwalking trips on the request of our walkers.

To make sure we're are getting this right we would like to involve you more in the planning and scheduling of hillwalking and mountain trips. If you would like to find out more please register your interest by sending a short email to [email protected].

📸 Yesterday morning at Loch Etchachan, in the Cairngorm Mountains. Well above the cloud in the glens, it was a beautiful blue sky day on the plateau, after a starry night's camping down at Loch Avon.

Our final treks of 2024 concluded last weekend and after a week in the office, working through some end of season admin (and dreaming of sunny days on Skye), it is time for a break.
In the meantime, you can still make bookings for our 2025 treks and trips through the website. We will be back in full operation preparing for next year, and answering your calls and emails, from Monday 28th Oct.

The incredible Skye Trail weather and scenery just keeps coming! A big day over the Trotternish Ridge today, making the most of our last day of blue skies before the weather breaks.

It is hard to believe it is the last week of our trekking season! But, the sun has come out to help us put on a show for our final groups of 2024.
We have a small group of the Skye Trail who, as well as enjoying the incredible scenery, have been helping us test out some alternative route choices. We are always looking for ways to improve our treks, and improvements/additions can still be found, even on well established routes.
We also have a group of 11 on the West Highland Way this week. They will pass Crianlarich and the half way point of their trek around midday today!

Incredible views from Sgùrr na Stri today. Amanda requested this walk as a starter before the main meal of the Skye Trail this coming week. We walked in from Sligachan on a fresh morning with increasing sunny breaks. The afternoon brought some cold showers on the walk out with a rainbow over Glamaig completing an excellent day out.
