This week's stunning pick is Monifieth Golf Links👏💯

The Medal Course at Monifieth Golf Links is well established as an Open qualifying venue whenever The Open Championship is being held at nearby Carnoustie. Famously it was on Monifieth that 5 time Open Champion Tom Watson first experienced Scottish links golf just one week before securing his first Claret Jug in 1975.

The main Medal Course was formally opened for play in 1845. Unusually for a links course it features a number of holes with tree lined fairways.

The large, firm and fast greens, undulating narrow links fairways and punishing rough ensure Monifieth’s reputation as a very fine uncompromising links golf course.

The beautiful The Blairgowrie Golf Club is this weeks pick!⛳️🏌️🌟

Located 25 mins drive north of Perth, The Blairgowrie Golf Club was formed in 1889 and boasts 3no golf courses comprising The Rosemount Course designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie and extended by James Braid which is recognised as one of Scotland’s finest inland courses. The Lansdowne Course designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas and The Wee Course; a wonderful 9 hole heathland challenge.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
The two main courses have hosted numerous national championships and are renowned for their superb conditioning amid stunning surroundings.🏌️💫

Our choice of course of week this week is the picturesque Crail Golfing Society!🤩💫

Established in 1786 The Crail Golfing Society is one of the oldest golf clubs in the world and its original course Balcomie Links was formally laid out by the legendary figure Old Tom Morris in 1894, returning four years later to extend the course to a full 18 holes.⛳️

Positioned just 10 miles from St Andrews on the eastern tip of Fife, Balcomie Links may be relatively short at 5,900 yds but the tight par of 69 and ever present windy conditions ensure a testing challenge.

Crail benefits from having a very good quality second course Craighead, an excellent clubhouse and Pro shop all set in a wonderful location.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 🏌️🌟

Course of week this week is the fantastic The Carnegie Club at Skibo Castle!⛳️💫

Often referred to as the jewel in the 8,000 acre Skibo Castle Estate, Carnegie Links is a 6,800 championship golf course located on the edge of the beautiful Dornoch Firth.✨🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Originally the private golf course of famed tycoon Andrew Carnegie, the course has undergone significant changes and improvement since 2003 when the estate changed hands and Tom MacKenzie (MacKenzie & Ebert) was retained to oversee construction of the revised layout.

With fewer than 4,000 rounds played over Carnegie Links each year, the course is presented in immaculate condition and with water bordering the links on three sides any golfer fortunate to secure a tee time will experience one of the finest settings in the world of golf.🏌️🌟

The majestic links at Muirfield, home course of The Honourable Company of Edinburgh Golfers was originally laid out by Old Tom Morris, opened in 1891 and the following year hosted the first 72 hole Open Championship.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💫

Throughout its illustrious history the course layout has been modified by Harry C**t, Tom Simpson and latterly by Martin Hawtree in 2011.✨

Admired and respected by all golfers privileged to play this formidable links, Muirfield is consistently ranked as one of the finest golf courses in the world.🌎💫

Host venue for 16 Open Championships and 11 Amateur Championships as well as The Ryder Cup, The Walker Cup and The Curtis Cup.🏆

Muirfield is set to host this year’s AIG Women’s Open in early August.🙌🏌️‍♀️

Our course of the week selection this week goes to the stunning Royal Troon Golf Club. 🙌⛳️👌💫

Founded in 1878 Royal Troon Golf Club hosted its first Open Championship in 1923 becoming the fifth Scottish venue and had Royal status granted in 1978.⛳️ 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Royal Troon (Old) Course is a traditional out & back links course where precision off the tees is essential to avoid the punishing rough and numerous bunkers. The opening stretch provides glorious views west over Firth of Clyde to the mountains on The Isle of Arran.🏌️

The famous 8th hole Postage Stamp demands full concentration to negotiate all 123 yds; the shortest hole on the Open rota and with the wind blowing you will certainly be tested throughout the back nine.

Following a thrilling contest in 2016 between the eventual Champion Golfer of The Year Henrik Stenson & Phil Mickelson , Royal Troon will once again host The Open in 2024.👏🌟

The fantastic Royal Dornoch Golf Club is our choice this week!🌟⛳️👌
Royal Dornoch Golf Club is a very special golf club of timeless elegance set in splendid isolation on The Dornoch Firth.

Formed in 1877 the club invited Old Tom Morris to upgrade and expand the course in 1886-89. The Royal title was conferred on the club in 1906.💫

The Championship Course has recently been rated no. 5 in Great Britain & Ireland. One of the finest links golf courses anywhere it features raised domed greens; a trademark of Donald Ross, a son of Dornoch, a former club professional & greenkeeper who went on to become one of golf’s finest architects. Further course changes during the last five years have been overseen by Mackenzie & Ebert.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🏌️⛳️

This weeks Course of the week goes to the very fine Western Gailes Golf Club!🤩💫⛳️

Western Gailes is recognised by golfers around the world as one of Scotland’s finest links golf courses.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⛳️

The course sits alongside its neighbour Gailes Links at the northern end of Ayrshire’s stretch of great courses including Turnberry, Prestwick, Royal Troon, Barassie and Dundonald.

Positioned on a narrow strip of linksland between the sea and the railway line. Western enjoys a rather unusual layout with the clubhouse centrally located.
As an Open Championship final qualifying venue it presents a tough challenge to even the very best golfers.🏌️🏌️‍♀️🏌️‍♂️

A number of semi-blind tee shots combined with punishing rough and well sited bunkers may prove frustrating to some but for true links enthusiasts Western Gailes is simply one of the very best.🌟
