Now we know what Invasive Non-Native Species are – let’s look at how they are spread:

Invasive species are primarily spread by human activities, often unintentionally. From the way we travel, to what we wear and what we use, there are many ways for invasive species to spread.

To help reduce the spread of invasive species in our National Park, please:

🥾 Check, clean and dry boats, clothing, footwear and equipment after water use

🪴 Be plant wise. Don’t let garden, pond or aquarium plants enter the wild

✍️ Record any invasive species that you see in our park

🫶 Volunteer with your local action group working on invasive species management.

Take the Pledge 💙

The Rivers Wye and Usk are in crisis. Here at Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, we’re on a mission to help save them — but we need your help.

We’re asking you to pledge your allegiance to the rivers — by promising to love them and by making some small everyday changes that will help us in our wider mission to improve water quality.
