Welcome to our page, we are two caravanning beginners. Here to give new and exciting caravaners tips and tricks and to share our trips. GoingTouring (Christene and Courtney) are based in West Yorkshire, near Leeds. They are relatively new to caravanning; join them and their cat, Obi (don't ask), on their caravanning adventures. of "How to ..." type videos to help others that are also new to caravanning, or indeed motorhomes, documenting their journey through the minefield that is buying and equipping, a caravan for touring. We recently got back from a week in Newquay, absolutely loved Travella Holiday Park. It's a beautiful part of the country, and it's refreshing to be on a touring site with great facilities and lots of space.

Taking advantage of the long weekend over the Queens Platinum Jubilee celebrations, we ventured out to Flaxton Meadows, just off the A64, near York.
This is a great site, well laid out, plenty of pitches for Caravans and Motorhomes, along with a dedicated Camping Field, and a Rally Field.
There is a caravan dealer close by, Ebor Caravans, with a huge selection of of spares and accessories, just in case anything goes wrong or you need that essential addition for your caravan.

Blackmore Camping and Caravanning Club - Great Malvern Pt 2
Join us as we visit the Mid Counties Showground to see one of the biggest Truck gatherings of the year - Malvern Truck-Fest.
Some absolutely gorgeous truck, the amount of man-hours needed to complete some of these artworks must be huge. Some of them are dedicated to loved ones that are no longer with us, some of them are dedicated to the heath issues of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Covid-19 Corona-Virus, and as some of you may already know, I was one of the first Covid-19 sufferers where we live, and spend getting on for 16 weeks in hospital with just just over 4 weeks in a coma !!! What you don't get to see, because TV and the movies don't portray Intensive Care / High Dependency Unit patients this way, is that a coma leaves you so weak and fragile, that we have to learn to walk again, because of the huge amount of muscle wastage, learn to talk again, because the ventilator was not kind to the larynx,, and learn to eat again, because we have been fed by tube for so long our gag reflex doesn't work right. All these things come back, but they take time - Lost Time - and I still can't walk properly.

Blackmore Caravan and Camping Club - Great Malvern, Part1
In this video we show you our journey from West Yorkshire, to Malvern at the foot of the Black Mountains.
We were staying at the Blackmore Caravanning and Camping Club Site. Its a lovely site, well laid out and really good facilities.
Was spoiled a little by people walking across our pitch to get to the play area, and it wasn't just children. One woman had to duck under the guy rope attached to our sun canopy because she was so close to us ... don't know about you, but I think its just rude ...
The following day we head out to the Showground for the Malvern Truck-Fest, we both love trucks, but Courtney is into Transport Photography, that's in Part 2 though.

The rim was formed many, many years ago from molten lava, and it forms a layer that is between the limestone, above, and the sandstone, below.
Tickets to access High Force cost £2.00, and parking, at the High Force Hotel costs £3.00 for 3 hours. You can pay for parking at the cafe, which is a good job, because if you wanted to pay on the app, you might well be out of luck as the phone signal is non-existent ...

Taversal Caravan &Camping Club
We spent a couple of days at Taversal Camping and Caravanning Club site, near Mansfield.
Join us as we visit Hardwick Hall, a National Trust property that's almost on the doorstep. Enjoy the grounds and the gardens, but as lockdown restrictions are still in place the house itself is out of bounds.
We also went to Crich Tramway Village, home of the National Tram Museum. We had a great time here, had a look around the garages, and the old buildings before hoping on a tram for a short, but pleasant ride out into the country side, before returning back to the terminus.
We would heartily recommend either of these two locations if you are looking for something to do.
