Day 4 what a day ! First a massive thank you to Commodore Phil Aspinall for the lift across the Crouch! Donation made to the 👍 Great coffee / puncture stop at GOSSIP of Great Wakering, lovely people great cake !! Lots of gravel , grass , off-road especially Canvey Island and up through a thicket by the A13 , footpath disappeared 😳 Great night at , lovely dinner , brilliant staff and a special mention to our new friend Gold 😃

Day 3 lovely but eventful day - 2 island Osea and Northey and 1 broken derailleur 🤦‍♂️ Great stay at and special mention for the skate wing 😋 - lovely baguettes at the Fox and Hounds Tillingham. Bike replaced and we are back on track !!!

Amazing few days in the stunning Lofoten Islands . Many thanks to everyone for making it such a special few days. Ingunn and Håvar for their kindness and passion!! for the magnificent hike 👏 for the outrageously good food and for the marvellous cocktails and insight into how to attempt to replicate them. Thank you for the superb skewer , we can’t wait to use it. Everyone at Holmen was so friendly , helpful and professional from the moment we arrived , a real credit to you !! 🤗

Giant pasta shells filled with new season spinach, home grown with creamy ricotta and tomato sauce made with last year’s black prince. All it needs is some grated mozzarella and Parmesan, 15 minutes in a moderate oven and then it’s ready to serve with a crisp green salad for guests arriving later this afternoon. 😋

How wonderful to receive the most beautiful peonies unexpectedly from a friend yesterday. How are these real?? We have some fabulous florists locally and can arrange a fresh flower delivery for a special occasion.
