It's been some time since I posted a photo of a tour. Today was special, in that I'd the company of a single visitor, the lovely Lorna, jumping over the border from near Carlisle. Having already performed Tam o' Shanter and other poems at suppers, Lorna was keen to learn more about the life of Burns and what he got up to in Dumfries.
I think we both enjoyed it, sharing lots of stories.

My friends from New Cumnock Burns Club brought the Ayrshire sunshine with them yesterday. We've enjoyed each others company over zoom for the past two years, this was our first chance to meet in person and we made the most of it. A huge thank you to the wonderful Jane Brown who met us at The Globe and provided fantastic entertainment for my friends.

The first tour for ages! A great pleasure to meet some Canadian curlers across for the world rotary curling competition here in Dumfries.

First tour for at least 18 months turned out to be a huge success with Martin and Lorraine. A lovely couple with a real interest in Robert Burns, the sun shining helped as well.
