Make your base in the Scotland at one of our six quiet self catering properties on the shores of Loch Etive, near Oban, Argyll. This is one of the most stunning areas to visit in the West of Scotland, if not in the whole of Scotland. All properties have spectacular views of Loch Etive, Ben Cruachan and surrounding mountains. You have the choice of a cottage style apartment, 2 brand new luxury wood

en cabins, 2 or 3 bedroom detached cottage or 2 mobile homes, for your holiday let, all with enclosed gardens. We take pets in 4 of our properties but pets are not allowed in our 2 new wooden cabins. There is a seemingly endless list of things for you and your family to do in the area. Choosing Taynuilt (12 miles east of Oban) will be one of the best decisions you make for your Scottish holiday of a lifetime. This is the perfect area for kayaking and canoeing with Loch Etive on your doorstep and the River Awe just a mile away. For the hillwalker there are 4 Munro summits within 3 miles of the house. The high tops of Glen Coe are just 10 miles away up Loch Etive by boat or 1 hour by car, with the Mammores and Ben Nevis tops also an hour away. There are many mountain bike tracks in the area from easy forest trails to full day 30 mile routes not for the faint hearted. Bikes can be rented locally.

We’ve got the best chocolatiers in the world here at Oban Chocolate Company 😊 It’s been a full on week for them making absolutely everything from scratch after our January shutdown, but they’ve smashed it!

A favourite with those who want more time ashore is the Photography Special allowing over six hours on Lunga - returning to Ulva Ferry in the evening.

INFORMATION ON DRIVING IN THE OUTER HEBRIDES

Driving in the islands is different to the mainland and even other islands so here are a couple of top tips for anyone visiting:
- watch out for sheep, cattle, deer and any other animals that may be on the road
- If a car is behind you and unable to pass on double track, pull over where possible to allow them to overtake
- passing places are to allow oncoming cars to pass AND to allow cars behind to overtake. Please be aware of road users that may be behind you
- Island folk like to wave. If you pull over for someone or they do for you, give them a wee wave 😉

Thrift is a perky pink wildflower which grows on rocky crags, saltmarshes and sandy shores. In Gaelic thrift is known as tonna chladaich, meaning 'beach wave'. It usually flowers between April and July so we'll be seeing these cheerful blooms soon!
