Lots going on here at St Margarets the last couple of weeks 🐿️

Now the weather is getting better we have started staining the lodges outside and have begun preparing the hanging baskets for around the park this summer 🌸🌺
We have also repaired any damaged bird houses in the trees and installed a few more kindly made and donated to us by a regular customer 🪺🐦‍⬛

Also after a 6 month wait we finally have Openreach here installing our new superfast fibre line meaning we are going to triple our internet speeds around the park 💻
Many of you who have already visited St Margarets this year will have noticed all the white disks sticking out of each lodge.
This was part of a massive WiFi upgrade this winter that has vastly improved the signal strength inside each lodge enabling the installation of smart televisions in every lounge

Been busy tidying up the car park,paths and parking bays with fresh gravel this week, the last of the winter jobs

Our first Easter guests arrive tomorrow let’s hope the sun keeps shining ☀️🏡

Getting ready for the start of the new season here at St Margarets 🐿️
The Engine House is all finished and the scaffold has been taken down
The last lodge for this winter, number 8, is ready for the carpet fitter and we are busy electrical testing all the appliances in the lodges
On site we are tidying the gardens and have a nice load of gravel to freshen up the car parks🚜 all ready for March 9th, opening day 🏡

This was my view while staining the faciers and boarding on the Engine House at the very top of the scaffolding
All ready for new guttering next

New Year and lots of new jobs started here at St Margarets 🐿️
The Engine House has been surrounded in scaffolding for repairs to the windows 🪟and gutters and old land drains have been dug out to soon be replaced with new🚜
The spring cleaning of the lodges and the jetwashing of all the paths and decks are both well on the way to completion for the new season 🧼🧹
We have also taken delivery of some new furniture including mattress’s,dining chairs,bed bases and sofas. 🪑🛏️
Soon be March and reopening time

We are now closed here at St Margaret’s until March 9th 🐿️
Time to get lots of work done.
The tree surgeons have been on site this week and the Type A lodges are being prepared to be decorated and re carpeted.🏡
It’s been a lovely dry week,if a little cold, so outside we are still trimming the hedges and the ducks are getting a new fence 🦆

Lots going on here at St Margarets 🐿️

We have started the winter decorating with all of the Type E lodges to be painted first 🏡
The washing of pillows and curtains is underway 🧺 and the hedges are getting a trim before spring 🪜

Talking of spring the daffodils are starting to peep thru already.😲

Next week is all about starting to get ready for our Christmas guests. Lots of decorations to go up 🎄🎅🏻

Christmas is coming, the Polgooth lights were switched on last night 🎄and we have lit up the entrance here at St Margarets 🎅🏻

2nd week of winter work here at St Margarets 🐿️

Leaves,leaves and more leaves to be collected this week and Simon has also been strimming the banks now that all the growth is dying back🍁

The electricians are still here working thru the lodges fitting the new smoke alarm systems and we are also swapping the TVs to smart TVs so you can log into your accounts and watch Netflix, Prime Video, BBC iplayer ect while on holiday 📺

First week of winter work here at St Margarets it’s been a week with plenty of rainbows 🐿️🌈

Summer is certainly over and the hanging baskets have been brought in to prepare for spring 🌸

New fire regulations have come into force so we are having to make a few changes in the lodges to comply 🏡
New door locks with thumb turn locks on the inside have been fitted and the electricians have been here all week starting to install fire alarm systems in each lodge.🧯
