Many of the people who contact us about the Le Mans Classic are not sure whether to camp at the circuit or stay at one of our hotels. There are advantages to both so it comes down to personal preference. We are hoping that details of the camping packages will be available at the end of September or early October. The way things are going at the moment it is likely our remaining hotels will be sold out by then so if you think it's a hotel you will prefer you should reserve your place soon...

After spending the Saturday of the Historic Monaco GP in Casino Square, this is the view we had on Sunday. To sit in the same seats for this weekend's F1 race would cost MORE than our 3 night package to the 2024 Historic which included B&B at a 4 star hotel within walking distance of the circuit (all rooms with a balcony and sea view), reserved grandstand seats, access to the Paddocks and a total of 8 races! We got home yesterday from our 13 day tour which started with the Historic Monaco GP and concluded with the Spa Classic. Lots of miles and lots of smiles seems to sum it up nicely! After our previous post it didn't take long for our parking area in the Spa Classic paddock to fill up with a huge variety of cars. Fortunately "Sunday" lived up to its name - after the showers on Saturday everyone thoroughly enjoyed their time in the sunshine. Some chose to walk a lap of the circuit, others visited the pit garages, and the lucky ones got to experience the thrill of Eau Rouge and the challenge of Blanchimont by taking their car onto the track...

Our Group Tour to the Historic Monaco GP concluded this morning when everyone headed home from our hotel on the edge of the Champagne region in France. Travelling to/from the Cote d'Azur on wonderful roads surrounded by great cars was enormous fun and experiencing it all with such a fabulous group of people was a privilege. It really has been an amazing 7 days. It will not be long before our customers start arriving at the same hotel for their tour to the Spa Classic so we're off for a snooze to recharge our batteries! Over the last few weeks we've been busy making the final preparations for the Historic Monaco GP and the Spa Classic in May but we have also found time to start getting things in place for the 2025 Le Mans Classic (3-6 July). Our first hotel overlooking the Mulsanne corner is very nearly sold out and until now we've only mentioned it those who asked to be sent more information as soon as we had any! The Grand Prix de l'Age d'Or is the oldest historic car meeting in France which first took place as a support race for the French Grand Prix at Rouen-les-Essarts in 1964. It's current home is the wonderful Dijon Prenois circuit in beautiful Burgundy where the rolling landscape gives excellent views of the action from the spectator banking. This is a relatively unknown event in the UK but understandably it's steadily becoming more and more popular with our customers. It's not too late to reserve your place for this year...

We have some more exciting Spa Classic news... The organisers are putting together an exhibition dedicated to the Porsche 917. The plan is to display 12 of these cars, which dominated sportscar racing in the early 1970s, alongside our customers from the GT40 Enthusiasts Club who will be there with 17 cars. The icing on the cake is that several 917 drivers should be attending the event including Reinhold Joest who also raced a GT40 before he went on to form his own successful team. In addition to other famous victories around the world, they won at Le Mans 15 times! The Spa Classic timetable is always very busy due to the wide variety of grids taking part and the lap sessions when members of the public are able to experience this amazing circuit in their own cars. It's going to be even busier this year thanks to the creation of the new Classic Touring Challenge grid. This is for pre-1966 touring cars when victorious manufacturers really did race on Sunday and sell on Monday! We cannot wait to see nimble cars such as Minis and Lotus Cortinas drifting through the corners while battling with the more powerful but heavier Jaguars and Ford Falcons.
