Formula 1 is cancelled at Imola in Italy today due to floods. I was there the year Chris Vermuelen gave up hopes of winning world Superbikes that year 2006 I think for the same reason. The circuit is next to a steep hill on one side and the rain drains off it for hours after the rain but the track simply floods really badly. I still don’t understand why a track like that albeit it is a great track with bucket loads of history can still run races when Brands Hatch lost F1 and MotoGP years ago!
