My two having fun flicking a fly-line for the first time - amazingly they shared the rod (ice cream reward!) and got the hang of drifting the line. Just the fish did not want to play that day....

Could this year see a repeat of two years' summer ago and the massive early falls of spinners? This nice deep wild brown caught on an old mayfly pattern at 10.55 at night went back. Hopefully his cousins might be around this season.

Two weekends ago we got out and planted 400+ small trees donated by The Woodland Trust to regenerate hedge lines on some local farms. 15 degrees and sunny...beers for all over 16 and ice creams for all under.
