Cornish mornings by the river…

Another day, another beach visit…! 🙌 Today we headed to calmer waters on the south coast… If sea swimming is your thing…this is the place for you!! Located just outside of Fowey…around a 30 minute drive from Poachers Pocket, you will find Polridmouth cove… Park at Coombe and take a 1/2 a mile walk through fields and woodland path to find this magical, quiet little spot…✨

Last min availability!! 3rd-10th August…3 night minimum…check in any day!!! The secret beach will be waiting for you!! 🌞

We love cosy Winter evenings after a day of exploring The Cornish coast…❤️🔥🥂

St Nectans Glen… a 30 minute drive from Poachers Pocket brings you to this beautiful woodland valley walk which ends in a cascading 60 ft waterfall… There is an entrance fee to the waterfall and a cafe and shop on site… PS…Don’t forget your wellies!!

We headed to Hawksfield Cornwall…The perfect place to visit come rain or shine really…especially in low season…however if you visit us in high season and the suns out…chances are you’ll be at the beach! So if you’re after things to do on a rainy day…this is one of them! Situated on the outskirts of Wadebridge and a 15 minute drive from the cottage you will find this fabulous array of shops and a cafe…we only visited a selection today…we will have to come back to complete the rest! @strongadolfos …we just came for coffee, but the full menu looked divine!! @arcfoodstore has the most beautiful selection of foods and wine…lots of Cornish produce and lots of little gifting products in here too…I wanted one of everything! @joandcohome have just opened their new store on site lots of lovely womenswear pieces…and a heavenly sofa section too! @finisterre premium surf and outerwear store based in Cornwall…full of really high quality apparel. @bellaspetboutique2022 offers a selection of pet accessories for your four legged friends…and we got to meet the main lady too…❤️ Like I said…we didn’t quite manage to get around the whole site…there is also a fabulous kitchen showroom…tile shop…art gallery etc etc…so plenty to see on a day out and about…

We had THE best time @st_austell_brewery on their brewery tour… The perfect way to spend the day if the weather isn’t on your side…or even if it is!!! A guided tour of the brewery…how to beer is made…what its made from…the factory process…and most importantly…the tasting…! We tasted so many delicious beers!!! My personal favourites were korev, Proper Job and Big Job!! You get a discount vouchers to spend in store on the day too… A fab afternoon all round…chin chin!
