Working on a stunning property in Bournville last week. After some questionable electrical work I was called in to get this hallway up to the standard of the rest of the house. As you can see, after wanting to replace their old single light for several smaller ones the electrical cable should have been fed through the joists however was tacked to the bottoms meaning I needed to chisel out each individual joist to sink wire and be able to board cavities. I then scrimmed, bonded and skimmed ceiling and patched ceiling line from cove removal. 10/10 as always. On to the next one ✔️💯

Big leak absolutely destroyed a ceiling on a lovely property on Quarry lane, Northfield. Nothing that can't be sorted though👌😌 As always another 10/10 job. Look at the close ups on that boarding. The attention to detail is next level. That's what I pride myself on. Going that extra mile. Making sure the job is as close to perfect as can be. Even if that's on areas you won't see. It's good practice and the right attitude. As always another happy customer.

It's amazing the changes you can make in a few days. This was a lovely property I had the pleasure of working on in Barnt Green, Blackwell Rd, for an even nicer family. Fresh bean coffee, banana loaf and morning chats👌And of course 10/10 work. Transforming a dilapidated office and not so great landing walls into a work of art. The customer and myself were over the moon with the results and I look forward to going back in a couple of months to do their sons bedroom and rest of landing. You know what to do, make the call 📞

Cute little bungalow over in Rubery done last week. After having a couple of velux windows fitted I was called in to put it all back together again. As you can see, not the biggest job but super intricate and attention to detail required which is what i love. It all came out 10/10 and as always another happy customer 😊✔️

Beautiful bedroom given the full C P Treatment last week on Rednal Rd Kings Norton. Loads of angles, tall ceiling, crumbling walls, this job had the lot! This weeks jobs were an overboard and skim of a hideous artex ceiling on Heath Road South Bournville and the beading and skimming of a door opening from a kitchen in King's Heath. Both are repeat customers I did work for last year. Completely different elements of skill required on these two jobs however ultimately the same flawless results 👏 👌 Another happy customer. On to the next one

Not posted in a while due to high work load, Xmas and flu👷‍♂️🎅🤧

Last job of the year then first job of the year. Last job was a complete overboard and skim of large ceiling due to leak in West Heath. First job is a returning customer having a complete renovation of a lovely cabin over Worcester. They did all the boarding and I just had to give it 2 coats of plaster to a super smooth super flat finish. Both customers had some "questionable "work done previously so appreciate them allowing me to deliver a quality service they deserve👌 On to the next one.

Big boy media wall completed over in Redditch last week. Done a fair few of these now however this one was slightly more intricate due to the shelves being slightly set back from the rest of the frame. Needing all my 21 years of experience to get this one to the CP 10/10 standard. As you can see though that was achieved and as always another happy customer 😊 👌

So I had 2 very different jobs this week. The first was in Wychall and was rectifying a damp issue caused by some poorly fitted windows. Due to the frames not being sealed on the inside the customer was unfortunately getting lots of damp, condensation and a generally colder temperature in the room. Not a problem though. CP was on hand to help. Firstly I had to cut back reveals to expose frames, I then sealed all frames with expanding foam filling all gaps, afterwards it was bonding up reveals, sealing and finally applying 2 coats of super smooth flat finishing plaster👌
Second job was a customer I only visited a few of weeks ago to skim a wall in a dining room and a patch. This time I was needed to sort out a very old and crumbling bay window wall. Not a problem. First job was to assess and remove any blown plaster. Then I sealed all and floated out areas with undercoat bonding, beaded and finally applied 2 coats of finishing plaster to a smooth flat finish. The results speak for themselves. As always, another happy customer.

Someone pour me a drink !🍸 So I carried out some plaster work on this little number in Rubery the last couple of days. Fairly straight forward with regards to scope of work. Build timber frame in window opening, board over complete area (with fireboard due to not being able to class as a bedroom for sale due to fire hazard), bead, scrim and skim to a smooth flat finish. Except it was in the converted loft, and the water supply was on the ground floor! 😧Heavy fireboards, bags of skim, all the tools, buckets of water. Definitely been a physically demanding couple of days but another one ticked off the waiting list and as always another happy customer💯✅️

Little kitchen over Woodgate Valley given the C P treatment the last couple of days. On inspection it was clear to me the walls weren't in great condition and due to a gloss that was on some of them the necessary course of action was to apply blue grit sealant first then once that had dried I applied a tight coat of bond to allow a sufficient surface for the finishing plaster to adhere to. Bonding resealed with pva once dry, bead on then 2 coats of super smooth super flat finishing plaster breathing new life into the room👌On to the next one✅️👌💯

The Old Farm Hotel Bournville. After a car accidentally reversed into the outside of this wall it unfortunately knocked a lot of the finishing plaster off. To do this repair correctly we needed to first remove any remaining blown plaster. Then grit seal it all, float out with bonding any defected areas, reseal, bead and finally apply 2 coats of plaster to a super smooth, flat finish. It came out 10/10👌 Another happy returning customer. On to the next one✅️

Huuuuggggeeeee ceiling given the C P treatment last week in Northfield. Very proud of this one as I did the whole job single handed. After transforming the 2 bedrooms the week before I was asked if there was anything I could do with the through lounge ceiling as the customer really didn't like the dated timber look. Of course, not a problem. So as you can see from pics I fixed fresh timbers to complete ceiling, boarded, and skimmed to a smooth, flat, flawless finish. Another very happy customer and a lovely £40 tip and little handmade teddy for my daughter👌😁

After nearly 21 years in the trade this little intricate job in Longbridge was a nice test of my skill set, I loved it! How cool are all these angles and lines. There's a lot more skill involved here than first meets the eye. Another happy customer ✔️Another local job given the C P Treatment ✔️

Hilltop rd Northfield. I'm very proud of this one as I did the whole thing on my own. So many different skills and techniques required to get this kitchen where it needed to be. This was the last in a series of visits at this home as first time was hall stairs and landing and 3x bedrooms, then came back to do a big through lounge, and now finally the large open plan kitchen. It's so enjoyable when you go to a property in such a bad state and turn it into this. Makes all the aches and pains worthwhile. A true labour of love ❤️ All complete and of course, another happy customer 😊💯✔️

Kitchen in King's Norton completed this week. A fair bit of skill and experience required to bring this one back to life. Horrendous artex ceilings, wonky, flaky, uneven walls. Helping out a customer in need today. Was let down by another cowboy "plasterer" and had a kitchen on its way so how could I say no. Over the moon with the results and relieved at not having to delay their project further. Pictures to follow...
