Our next speaker is on September 15th and is entitled
"GORDON MALT ON SILVER FOLIAGE"
Join us for this talk on how silver-foliaged plants can enhance any garden!

Gordon is a retired tree surgeon who trained at Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh with 45 years’ experience in horticulture/arboriculture. He was a finalist in The Daily Mail's National Garden Competition in 2015 so is well placed to share his gardening and design know how.

Gordon lives in Market Drayton, Shropshire and describes his gardening style as 'controlled relaxation'. Gordon will look at where Silver Foliage plants are best used, suitable associations and gardens and people connected with them.

We are sure we can all take away some interesting ideas for our own gardens so why not join us at 7.30pm on September 15th at Wigmore Village Community Centre, Ford Street, HR6 9UW.

Non-members just £2 for this excellent talk by an inspiring speaker so we hope to see you there.

13/07/2022

This July (23 - 30) sees the return to Hereford of the world's longest running classical and choral music event, Three Choirs Festival. The week-long festival rotates annually between the beautiful historic cities of Hereford, Worcester and Gloucester and this year our county is delighted to play host.

It's a chance to hear stunning music from across the world in equally stunning surroundings, with the iconic Hereford Cathedral being one of the key venues. Newcomers, super fans and families are all warmly welcomed to come along to experience classical music in our tiny city, which is also home to acclaimed eateries and independent boutiques as well as within easy access of everything the county has to offer.

And if you'd like to watch the rehearsals see the itinerary here!

Did you take part in the big plastic count? The Greenpeace research found that only 12% of the plastic we throw away is recycled in the UK. What about the other 88%? Our government ships it overseas where it's often burned/dumped, buries it in landfill, or burns it in the UK.

The biggest ever investigation into household plastic has revealed that UK households throw away almost 100 BILLION pieces of plastic a year & only 12% is re...
